I was not a fan of Zac Jones. But the last few games he played down the stretch he was really good. The way he skated the puck out of the defensive zone was phenomenal. It is beyond valuable to have a defenseman do that. It destroys a forecheck and that is the Rangers weakness.

We all know how the Caps will want to play. I really hope that they have been grooming Rempe behind the scenes for a regular shift on the 4TH line. I would have also liked Edstrom on that line. As it stands, the whole team must commit to a heavy forecheck and win the majority of the board battles. NO FLY-BYS!

Wilson is more known for being a cheap shot artist vs being a fighter. My feeling is that Rempe will jack jammer Wilsons face if they fight.

Kreider won’t win board battles so that’s problem number 1

@@FTulumello My concern is that, although Rempe has shown the heart of a lion, he is still young and inexperienced regarding the necessary fighting skills at the NHL level. I would simply like to see a 4TH line that consistently creates havoc in the offensive zone and wears down the Caps defense with a responsible and heavy forecheck.
