Wow. I came on here to see how nystatin works, but you’re hitting all the problems I’m dealing with: anxiety, derealization, and high sugar diet… 😿 Thank you!!!! I’m also on the fence about changing my career. Also needing to limit social media and reducing stress! I hope you’re in a good place now - This video is 5 years old now :)

Hi Chris, thanks for stopping by. I know right?! I can't believe this was 5 years ago. Time flies so fast. I'm sorry to hear you've got similar symptoms, though perhaps that's a good thing if what you're doing helps. Since these videos I did quit facebook (though now on twitter,..is that worse? lol... I don't engage though, just post my music and photography and lurk on smart people mostly). I would definitely recommend pulling back on social media if you find it's making you anxious. The more we try to exist in the digital world the more dissonance we are going to experience I think. My derealization did go away. Isn't that a crazy feeling? Anxiety sucks though the feeling of being disconnected from reality has got to be the worst. I attribute derealization solely to the amount of stress I was under, so I'm assuming you must be under some stress. Perhaps that's in alignment with you thinking about changing career's. And yes, I think diet (especially our gut) does really play a huge role in all of this. I recently quit drinking and it's amazing how much better I feel. Still working on the sugar,..it's just so delicious, and it's in basically EVERYTHING. I am in a much better place, got back on my feet! Though this pandemic is stressing us all out, so go easy on yourself. You found this video which means you're curious and want to learn. Which means you'll find your way out of whatever is troubling you. I hope you feel better and find the right path for your life if you decide to change careers. Nothing on Earth is easy, so make sure to give yourself a break! Cheers mate!

Just finished watching all 14 videos on this from you. I started Nystatin yesterday and the hand lotion is a good description 😂 really hoping this fixes my issues. I think your body aches and pains were more due to the caffeine withdrawl. I say this because I have gone off of caffeine several times and each time there is about a 3-5 day period where I’m hurting pretty bad and feel like I have the flu. I got off caffeine again a couple weeks ago and MOST sugar, so having that out of the way already has really helped me I think. Doc only gave me 10 days of this stuff so diet is going to be much more important for me. Thanks for sharing because it made me feel not alone. One of my main issues is chronic fatigue. Really hoping I can get my energy back. I’ve actually struggled with that most of my life but it’s gotten worse with age of course. Cheers 🥂

Hello U ad, thanks for the question. As far as I understand you have to finish the treatment and after that you'll have to talk to your doctor to see how you're doing. Everyone's body is different so it may take longer, or if your doctor prescribes it, you may have to do more so the fugal infection can be addressed. It really depends on your body's response. In some cases if your immune system is compromised you can have reoccurring infections. As always please consult your doctor as to whether you'll need more treatment. I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer. Good luck though and I hope you feel better!

Thank you evanie! I'm glad it was helpful all this time later. It was helpful at the time just to vent my stress. And yes, when I initially went to the doctor she had mentioned my tongue was pretty white and said this was probably a candida overgrowth. That was when I started the Nystatin. Slow, motility, constipation and so I believe that my high sugar, diet and food not moving through me fast enough cause they used to over grow. Interesting, in my research I didn't see that it was necessary to take for a year. My doctor only prescribed it for the duration that I used it. If you're susceptible to fungal infections I could see where that would be the case. Probably depends on the specific circumstances of the person.

As far as I understand it, of course depending on the quantity of candida in your system, a diet that will rid you of candida overgrowth should be done for several months. Now that does not mean that you have to use Nystatin during all that time, but the low sugar diet should be held up.

@ZeroStateReflex
@ZeroStateReflex 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Amber, that's a good observation. I didn't even think to look at the first video and the last to see the comparison. Did I stay eating cleaner? Nope. Not really. After Nystatin I kept doing as many things as I could think of to get better. I was going to counseling, meditating once a week, and trying to work on my belief systems. Although currently (2022) I have quit drinking completely and am trying to have a cleaner diet. That's just from getting older though. Would II still recommend now? Yes. If I showed the same characteristics (potential candida overgrowth in the gut) and a doctor recommended I do the Nystatin treatment again I would. Nystatin is one of the safest drugs as it leaves most of your body alone and targets the fungus only. I'm eating more yogurt and taking probiotics now so hopefully I don't run into that issue. Someone watching these videos shouldn't walk away thinking it cures anxiety. It certainly DID NOT cure my anxiety. I still had issues for about a year or so until I felt "normal" (i.e. normal enough to go to work full time again). I think it played a role in getting better though I have no objective data to say how as it was just one thing I wanted others to know about because I couldn't find a lof of information on at the time. Hopefully that answers your questions! I hope you are doing well in whatever health journey you are on. Don't give up and do the best you can. It's rough being human :)

Are you feeling better since taking the nystantin. I have the same problem and I want to know if I should take herbal anti fugual or nystatin
@ZeroStateReflex
@ZeroStateReflex 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Cher, it's been quite awhile now since I took the Nystatin. Taking the Nystatin was part of a long line of things I was trying to do to reduce my anxiety symptoms. I was having panic attacks and a general feeling of what I could only describe as drinking way to much coffee, like a constant buzz in my nervous system. Looking back I think I was under a lot of stress, for years. And the consequence of that stress on my physiology was huge. When I was trying the Nystatin I was going to a natural medicine doc. Given my symptoms the doc thought that I might have a fungal overgrowth in my intestinal system and Nystatin might be a way to bring my gut flora back into balance. I honestly can't say if the Nystatin did anything as there was nothing to measure, so to speak. Like if you have a fungal growth on your feet you'll know it's working because the fugal growth goes away. Unfortunately we can't see inside our guts so it's tough to tell if the Nystatin did anything,...what DID work was trying as many things as I could and not losing hope that I would get better. I'm not sure specifically what you're going through though certainly if it's doesn't cause more harm to you than it's worth a shot, Nystatin is incredibly benign to humans, in that it only attacks fungal growths. I hope that helps! Stay as positive as possible and good luck! Stop back by if you try the Nystatin and let me know how it went. It might help other people too!

@@ZeroStateReflex Did you notice any difference in how caffeine affected you? I mean, you took a lot of caffeine to begin with every day. Did you feel caffeine working at those higher doses, or did caffeine not work at high doses, and then after stopping coffee + nystatin to rid self of candida, did caffeine start working again suddenly? Also curious if you continued taking nystatin or other anti-fungal protocols or diet. Reason I ask is because if I drink coffee, I get tired. The stronger the coffee, the quicker I get sleepy. Same with other stimulants, and I know that I have a high candida albicans in my gut from a specific test, so I'm curious if this was similar at all to you.
@ZeroStateReflex
@ZeroStateReflex 5 жыл бұрын
@@cjmst3k Great questions. When I was at the peak of my anxiety I couldn't drink coffee as it would spin my nervous system up to much and would increase the anxiety and panic symptoms. I can't say whether doing the Nystatin changed how coffee affected me. I can now have coffee (2 years later) and feel fine, as my nervous system has calmed down. Interesting that you get tired if you have coffee. I know everyone's physiology is different. My twin brother can drink cup after cup with little effect whereas I can only have one cup and that's all I really drink during the day. I've never experienced getting tired from drinking coffee. After my treatment I didn't take any other anti-fungal medicines. I returned to my diet I had previously, which as far as I can tell, means that my anxiety was more attributed to my nervous system being wrecked my stress and it took some time to recover. I can't actually say whether or not I actually had candida,..I simply didn't have any data to show what my gut was before and after the Nystatin. My doctor seemed to think given my symptoms that it was worth a shot. I think a combination of psychological changes (going to a counselor) and just letting time work it's magic, (my nervous system finally calming down..) were the best methods to finally get better. I hope that answers your questions and I hope you're doing well! It can be a rough road trying to figure out what's going on with our bodies.

Haha, your user name is great. Indeed, as far as I understood my anxiety could have been due to an overgrowth of Candida and my diet (drinking to much alcohol, or fermented foods,..like soy sauce) were feeding the overgrowth which was affecting my anxiety levels. For me it was more that my body was so stressed it threw my physiology (gut bacteria?) out of wack and my anxiety was in response to that. It's been awhile now and has since been a lot better, although I still get anxiety (fight or flight) response. Glad to here you've found something that helps you and thanks for commenting. @@wallsha8463 Hello wall sha, so sorry for the late reply! The notifications for comments aren't very reliable for some reason. Thank you for the compliments and your positivity. How is your GI or overall health now? Overall it's much better, I've returned to what my diet was previously to the anxiety period. I can drink coffee now without feeling like my body is vibrating off the planet and I've gone back to work full time. I make sure to work out consistently too. It's just a 20 minute walk most days of the week though I know my body needs to burn energy, as well as my nervous system. That's just something I know about myself. As far as I know my gut health is ok. I try to eat pretty healthy. Although I still drink beer, probably to much,..lol. You simply can't force yourself to be "perfect." So my diet's not totally clean though I try to do the best I can. As far as I can tell my main issue was that my nervous system was spun up so much that it was causing massive anxiety and until I was able to calm it down, (time + diet + meditation + changing my inner narrative,..etc a lot of things!) there was probably nothing that I could have done. The Nystatin experience for me was at the end of the anxiety, whereby I was sort of giving up hope and went to a naturalpathic doctor whom thought my symptoms may have been caused by candida. The science perhaps by now may be better though it was really hard to tell if that was the problem. When you have anxiety, as I did, you're willing to try anything and I was literally trying everything. I do hope you're in a good place now! @ZeroStateReflex 5 жыл бұрын
@@andreweich2600 That's a great question Andrew. I think it DID have an effect, although I didn't have any conclusive data to confirm it. At that time I was at my wits end trying to figure out why my anxiety was persisting. It's been awhile though I recall that the idea was I was under high stress for quite awhile and drinking a lot to compensate. The fermented drinks had thrown my gut bacteria out of whack. I.e., the candida bacteria was thriving because of my diet. That was "perhaps" causing my anxiety, or at least contributing to it. I was also, while taking the Nystatin, not eating anything processed. The idea being that I was going to "reset" the bacteria in my gut. I didn't do stool samples and eventually I did get better. I'm doing really well now, back to "normal" as they say. It took a very long time though. In my situation I don't think any one thing was the final cause, the body is so damn complex. Perhaps your situation is different in that case. If you're just dealing with candida overgrowth Nystatin has been proven to be effective. Now WHY you have that issue in the first place may have a more complex underlying cause, such as diet, stress, your bodies natural gut bacteria, etc. I wish I had some better data to conclude with for you, I hope you are getting better and everything works out though. Please stop back by if you wish to let anyone know how you're doing or if you found anything out if you'd like to share. Seems these vids have been really helpful to people looking for Nystatin info. I am also at the end of my rope man. Going bankrupt, suicidal thoughts, quit drinking/caffeine/sugar for well over a year now to heal this awful skin issue. an absolute shell of my former self. Your videos have been SUPER helpful and supportive. This is a tough one to talk about openly. I’d wager candida wasn’t your primary driver of anxiety etc & your sever aches were simply withdrawals from cutting the drinking & sugar cold turkey like that. For me... I was prescribed an antibiotic to treat this recurring skin issue at 16 (I’m 36 now) and would refill it every year when my skin would flare up. Had no clue what I was even taking! Trust the doctors right? Man, who knew. Never thought any side effects it had until recently. Tetracycline, and then doxycycline to be exact. They worked fast though. Only after speaking to a New Zealand based naturopath was I recommended a stool test & sure enough it was candida. Battling this naturally for 2 years now has shown no change, until I tried my last option beside that horrible antibiotic. Nystatin. My skin has improved, but not 100% better by any means. And the dermatologist refused to refill it. All my research says take the stuff until & after your feeling 100%. Like you, I flipped my diet upside down, even went vegan for a few months. Lost 15 lbs so far... and I was super skinny going into it! Ppl literally think I have cancer I’m so thin now. Appreciate ya taking the time to reply! As it got worse I kept trying everything I could think of and nothing changed and then I developed agoraphobia, could barely go to the store. When I quit my job I lost so much, decimated my savings, was really scared and also thought about suicide too, at least I could really SEE how people could feel like that. I also felt like a former shell of myself, you couldn't have put it any better. Indeed, you're right I think about candida not being the primary driver. I had a mountain of stress and grief to deal with prior to Nystatin. The candida was at the end of trying everything I could to get better. Ultimately perhaps it just took time,..I don't really know. I tried everything I could think of. I think I know who the New Zealand naturopath your'e talking about! If that's right he was the only guy addressing candida on youtube that I could find that gave me some sense of hope. That's so cool you were able to talk with him. It sounds like you were in the shit tornado of trying to figure things out like I was. It's brutal. I really hope things get better for you. Based on our brief interaction I sense you have a strong will. Suffering is like acid for our souls,..it just eats away at the reasons we have for being alive. Hang in there man, it will get better. Hopefully our chat gives someone enough hope to hang in there. It took what felt like forever for me to gain any ground,..god damn human body man, haha,..though little by little I started to feel better,...it can happen. If there's one thing I've realized it's that you don't get any damn answers sometimes. Though if we share our experiences perhaps that's enough for now. Again, thanks so much for your candidness, that takes balls man. Please stop by again if you find anything that helps you, it was great talking and I really hope you find some relief.

Hello Linda, I'm feeling better, although I've back peddled a bit when i thought it was ok to drink beer again, haha. As far as I can tell it really takes awhile to "re-set" your body's physiology. Going back to an old diet wasn't a good thing either. Although I'm learning, the best thing I've done is just to have patience and keep experimenting! It's like I'm relearning everything about my body now,..it certainly takes awhile and requires adjustments! I did do a follow up video and will do a couple more to talk about what has worked and what hasn't. Thanks!

THAT is a great question. So far I've learned I am in fact the alien and it's a balance that has to be maintained with more than just drinking lotion juice, haha..why is achieving balance in our lives so difficult? It can't be just me,. :)

From Nystatin? No. I did have heart palpitations from the anxiety though. They eventually went away.

I think my fast heart rate is probably from Anxiety as well. I am taking Nystatin now and hope I can get through it this time. It is rough with the die off but having the Candida is worse. Hope I can eliminate it this time and I am really watching my diet. Thank you for your great videos, they really help.

@@matthewread8203 Ah, fair enough. I could definitely tell my anxiety was manifesting in a lot of ways. it's a shitty and weird feeling to not trust your own body. Put me on edge, which just made me feel worse, lol...it's such a mind F'er. Sounds like you're doing all the right things! Keep it up and don't lose hope. Follow the directions, have a routine. The more stable your days are the easier it is to focus on feeling better. I have noticed that people who ask questions and find my videos get better. Because you're searching, trying to figure it out. People who take action usually succeed. That's a really good sign and I think you're going to be ok. I really appreciate you asking a question too. You never who you might help. We're all just trying not to go crazy. I made it out. You will to. Hang in there mate.

Did your symptoms cause you to lose your appetite?
@ZeroStateReflex
@ZeroStateReflex 4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm...not that I recall. While i was doing the Nystatin I didn't have any processed foods, cured meats, sugar etc. The idea was , (according to the doc) to reset my gut bacteria,..or change it so that my anxiety symptoms were reduced or gone. I don't remember losing my appetite at all. I think I was MORE hungry because I had such a restricted diet during that time. I hope whatever you're going through is going well. Thanks for stopping by mate!

@@EAGLESFLYHIGH You bet! I hope it goes well. Nystatin is really safe so as long as you follow the directions from the doc you should be good to go. If you have any questions please stop back by. @@ZeroStateReflex Are you completely cured from Candida now?
@ZeroStateReflex
@ZeroStateReflex 4 жыл бұрын
@@EAGLESFLYHIGH great question. So here's how I THINK it went down. 5 years of stress (was working on a house remodel, full time job, girlfriend)..was under a lot of stress, so I was drinking a lot. The fermentation of alcohol feeds the candida bacteria in your gut. It (candida) lives off the yeast, (I think) so when drinking a lot and eating a lot of fermented foods, (chinese food, soy sauce, etc,..) I threw my gut out of wack. The stress, (high levels of cortisol) + bad diet + drinking a lot through my body out of balance. Was getting panic attacks a lot, it felt like I was always spun up. Like I had drank a pot of coffee, super jittery and prone to feel like I was going to pass out. So when I went to a natural doc (she suggested my gut bacteria was wrecked) I tried the nystatin to "reset" everything hopeing my anxiety symptoms would be reduced. During that time I was also doing meditation, and trying to have a really clean diet, (during Nystatin) and just getting better. So, long story short, I think everything I was doing helped reduce my anxiety symptoms. I THINK the Nystatin worked. Though I couldn't prove it. I know the Nystatin was doing something, as I had the ache's described by people who had taken it around the time it was described. I hope that helps. Sorry for the long story, though the context is important. I was trying so many things to get better. Which is the advice I get giving to people. If you have an issue, just keep trying things until you find something that works. If in your case you're just taking the Nystatin for a fungal infection you should be good to go. It's safe, effective and has been used for a very long time. It basically just kills the fugus and leaves the rest of your body alone. Great stuff. I hope you feel and get better, again sorry for the long story. I wish I had more concrete answers. Eventually I just got better, went back to work, still struggle though I think it's normal now. Being alive is freaking brutal. Please let everyone know how you're doing if you'd like. Cheers mate!

Hi. You and me pretty similar. I went through the same process and at the end Candida will win. Because it's a fungi. And maybe because i am Asperger

Had this medication before and also taking it now. So far my situation was I ended up making out with a chick. Then from that and sexual encounter with her I ended up getting this nauseating sensation in my stomach and also throbbing throat also soreness on the back of my neck. Like I said early had this before for the same reason. Also I deal with anxiety and had had before acid reflux..right now I am taking that liquid you speak of in order to eliminate the unbearable sensation In my stomach.. it's a yeast infection in my throat and stomach. This medication does work, just takes time for the result to start moving..but yeah anxiety is also a cause for the symptom. Just weird how the body works.good to hear your story. Honestly I actually enjoy the taste of it . If I can drink more of it I would but doctor only gives you a small bottle
