It absolutely works...I've been oil pulling off and on for 15+ years and i have experienced and seen miracles for others. I had periodontitis, was supposed to get deep cleanings 3×/year for the rest of my life. I started oil pulling every day and a few months later at my next cleaning they were stunned to see I had no signs of it at all, eventually they said I didn't need to come back anymore and all the people at my dentist's office began oil pulling too! It never came back after that even after i stopped. A few years later I realized my dental implant was being rejected and had an infection, I started oil pulling again 2x/day and returned to the dentist 2 months later, they x-rayed it and saw that it had healed and the bone had grown back! The dentist was stunned 🤗. I actually discovered oil pulling when I had a horrible headache from a sinus infection, after 15 minutes of oil pulling my nose started running and massive amounts of mucous ran from my nose for a good 15 minutes...as if draining a bathtub. After that the pressure was gone and felt 1000x better. What it does is create a suction deep in the roots of the teeth drawing out bacteria, often the roots of our teeth preforate the sinus cavity so it can help with sinuses, allergies and such.

Thanks for telling us about the sinus infections. I have Wegener’s Granulomatosis and the sinuses are really attacked with it and always inflamed. They are very destroyed same with my right ear. It also attacks the gums and bone. I have bone destruction. I am going to try this for 15 mins tomorrow. Going to do it daily, all month. Sinus headaches all the time.

I started oil pulling 9 years ago for my teeth, but I noticed my face was clear and much smoother. So, I also started using coconut oil extra virgin oil, cold pressed and unrefined on my face before washing it with face wash and rinsing with cold water to moisturize my face. I'm 54 and have no wrinkles and a smooth complexion. Plus, I use coconut oil on my feet.

I found a technique called reverse shampooing that is the same principle. Condition the hair first, use shampoo after and my scalp and hair have been consistently happy after a lifetime of issues. I've notice that using oil on my skin (and kids) before cleansers helps preserve the natural moisture so much better! My hair & skin are far better doing it this way. I'll try it with my skin now that I'm a bit older and it's drying out.

I started oil pulling 8 or 9 years ago. Every morning. 3-4 months later I went to my yearly exam and cleaning. I said nothing when the hygienist asked me if there were changes to my oral health, bla bla. She was both impressed and puzzled to see such a noticeable improvement in my gum health. Inflammation was way down, as well as the receding. I then told her about the oil pulling and she seemed genuinely impressed but when the dentist came in, she mentioned the oil pulling and the only reaction from the dentist was rolling his eyes. I don’t care because I know for a fact that it has made a big difference. I would recommend to start slowly with only a small amount and only swish for a few minutes, first thing after getting up in the am, before brushing your teeth. If you have plaque build up, you may notice it coming off as well. Some people may have trouble with the taste of coconut oil but I never did. Over time, you’ll know how much you can take and how long you can swish, 10 minutes should be plenty.

I will share my experience. In August 2018 I developed a huge cancerous tumor on outside of a breast. It stunk to high heaven. I had a mastectomy later that year to remove it.....but my husband noticed I still reeked of that odor.....especially, (interestingly enough) my breath. He said the odor would fill the room. (yikes) I started oil pulling w/coconut oil. One day I did the oil pulling while my husband was outside w/our dog. When he came in, he noticed the room didn't have that odor. Over time, pulling w/coconut oil totally removed the odor. To my way of thinking, that means it pulled leftover toxins out of me. The odor never came back. The blood makes a complete circuit every minute. Blood vessels are very close to the surface under the tongue. I made sure some coconut oil sat there.

Absolutely definitely 100% works. Despite using all range of oral products, I used to have sensitive teeth, inflamed and bleeding gums, not anymore since I started oil pulling. Not only are my gums healthy and strong, but I went from my head hitting the ceiling if my teeth touched anything too cold and discomfort from too hot, to no issues with eating an ice lolly or eating a straight from a hot oven. Also, other benefits is, I find it also clears impurities from the throat. Now this is unpleasant for others to clear; but for me, this is unavoidable but a good thing. I no longer have morning breath and my snoring has reduced significantly. You will understand why dentists wish this was still a secret!!!

@@lostwings1 It must be the first thing you do. As I get up, I will take some oil, shower shave, moisturise and get dressed (if it is a quick throw on). Expel, then brush my teeth. Apparently you don't need to, but I cannot get rid of the habit. It was about a week I noticed less red in the sink, that I can remember bc it was then I knew this was going to work. Sorry I cannot remember when I noticed the improvement with the sensitivity. I've been doing this for about six years... Oh when solution, don't just move it around the mouth. REALLY force it, challenge trying to squeeze it between the teeth and remember all sides and top and bottom teeth, even roof of mouth and tongue. Start a little less shown in the video, it takes a couple of days to get used to it. A good toothpaste to use... Elmex sensitivity!!

Sorry for the delay, I didn't receive notification and only now this video appeared on my feed. I think by now you probably drawing mucus (impurities) from the throat. This is actually toxins extracted from around the body. Another tip i just came across. Rinse your mouth with warm salted water and while doing so, rub your teeth with your finger. This is to ensure no set oil is still clung to the teeth!!

I do it for ten minutes and a teaspoon not a tablespoon. I have seen amazing improvement - I started oil pulling because I had a tooth that was a problem (after going to a dentist) and it completely healed my tooth, just amazing. But I wouldn't do it for 20 mins, no way. Ten minutes is quite enough and I can do it everyday for ten minutes.

@Iloveflowers2024 2 жыл бұрын
I think a tablespoon is too much for my little mouth. Lol. So yes, one or two teaspoons is fine for me too. I have read on the topic and basically we have to figure out how long it takes to turn the oil to a milky white color. On average it is 15, 20 minutes but 10 could work for some too. Coconut is not white when it is melted, it melts in our mouth and Sesame oil and other oils are not white either. And when the oil has been swished around in the mouth long enough it will turn white. So the first time doing oil pulling it is a good idea to time it. And try different times, like 10 minutes one day, 15, 20 another etc. And see what time frame works to get the white colored mixture. That's amazing it has helped your tooth. I hope oil pulling continues to benefit you. I have done oil pulling before a few years back but I didn't keep up with it. I do remember it making my teeth whiter and my mouth just feeling better. So I am back to trying it again using Sesame oil as that is more of a Traditional oil to use but other oils are good too I am sure.

Most people like coconut oil or sesame seed oil in their most natural form, like organic, because they've had the most benefits. But other oils like even olive oil have been used and still benefit the teeth and mouth, so even though you don't swallow the oil while pulling, as long as the oil is approved for ingestion it can be used.

I said this to someone else in these comments, I’m going to say it to you too. I just need an answer and calm reassurance. Please help me to calm down. I started oil pulling because my teeth are sensitive in one spot. The dentists have never said a thing about it and for many years my teeth had been said to be very healthy. I just tried oil pulling two weeks ago to get rid of the sensitivity and it now isn’t so sensitive anymore… However, I never really pull back my lips and look at all my teeth. I pulled my lips back 2 days ago just to smile at myself and I noticed a black line in my back tooth. It can’t be a crack because I always had these lines in my back teeth, I just thought they were shaped like that. But when I looked 2 days ago, it was black! Not A big thick black line but a thin one. If this is a cavity, should I keep my faith and not worry because I started an oil pulling routine? Please, I’m just asking for reassurance. Coming from you would be special because I read your comment thread about you leaving the coconut oil on your cavity and you said the blackness went away. It doesn’t hurt at all to touch it, it’s just a strange thin vertical black line.

It does work! I started brushing my teeth 🦷 using a combination of coconut oil, sea salt and baking soda, no more plaque buildup or nasty bad breath. My teeth have gotten whiter and the brown stains on my molars 🦷 have diminished drastically. I had deep cleaning and had to do this spread out in 3 different appointments, when I went the following week to get the other side of my teeth clean, the dental hygienist said, I can’t believe you have build up again and it’s only been a week. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and I have not seen any build up whatsoever. I am so happy I will continue to do this. Thank you for making this -- I would shout about it from the rooftops. I suffer from dental problems due to symptoms and bad habits related to PTSD. I drink too much alcohol and get so depressed I sometimes don't brush my teeth for days. I used to have excellent oral health and never had a cavity prior to getting PTSD. I went for my first dental cleaning in 5 years back in October -- I had FIVE cavities. It was a huge wake-up call! I do notice a difference in my oral health when I pull regularly. It's how I start my day and try to set myself up for some success, regardless of what comes of the day. I precede pulling with a good tongue scraping. My mouth feels cleaner and my gums are healing, but I wont get the full benefits of freshening my breath unless I give up the alcohol (which is tough for me, sorry to report). My dentist's office weren't too interested in hearing about oil pulling as a preventative measure and a natural remedy. Shame -- it really does complement good, regular dental hygiene, but the Western world seems to prefer alcoholic mouthwashes and profitable procedures.

I use volcanic black clay (cosmetic clay that is used for face mask), put water (1:1 portion) to make it a mud and add salt (non iodine) at the same time when I add water to solve it. After that I add coconut oil 2-4 table spoons and essential antibacterial oils like oregano, clove bud. Tooth paste is ready that will save your teeth and gums from any inflammation, cavities. On 50 gr of clay +40-50gr of water and salt to make it a mud. Then add 2-4 table spoons of coconut oil and 5-10 drops of oregano and clove bud essential oils of each. That amount will be enough for 1 month+ if brush twice a day. Sometimes I keep that mud in my mouth for 10-15 minutes up to 1 hour before brushing away.

@lazzatbastar3497 2 жыл бұрын
If you are going to keep that home tooth paste(from clay) in your mouth for more than 2-3 minutes, make sure not to add much essential oil not to burn mucous membranes in your mouth. The reason I keep for long time is to reduce inflammation after my dead (without nerves) tooth broke. I was told to pull that broken dead tooth, but I wanna do it later(save money) to put implant immediately after pulling off that tooth. In fact I got that home tooth paste recipe from internet about 5-6 years ago. I wish I knew it when I was 13 years old, when my teeth/gums problem began. Instead of black volcanic clay you can use any cosmetic (refined) clay you have, from white to green or blue clays from any area. I liked the most black clay, either volcanic or black clay from Dead sea near Israel. As they are antiflammatory plus has lots of trace minerals. I saw review on youtube of a woman who cured her paradonthosis (may be incorrect spelling, it is severe inflammation of gums when all teeth are close to fall off as they don't sit in their places due to gums inflammation) just applying Dead sea clay several times a day for a month or several weeks.

Not a ton but several drops for the mason jar and mix it up and let it solidify again then scope some out each morning first thing. I swish for 10-20 minutes depending on what I’m doing. I do chores around the house. It makes the time go faster. Last January my dentist told me he thought I may have a cavity under my crown. I started oil pulling again (I hadn’t done it in a while) I went back for more X-rays and the dentist said he didn’t notice the spot. Not sure it’s related to the oil pulling but I haven’t had any complaints so I’ll keep doing it. I notice my breath is fresher and I don’t need to use mouthwash like I had to before. Yes I know it’s gross but I have crooked teeth and I felt like if they all fall out then maybe I can get dentures and I’ll have nice teeth and also I just didn’t feel worth brushing. Anyways I had a cavity in my front tooth, I could see a large hole in my front tooth at the gum line. I oil pulled for a few months and the hole went away and now I have no hole. Thank you! Excellent video. Going on 12+ yrs w/o a cavity here. I have done a LOT of things to keep my teeth/gums healthy including maintaining a higher blood level of vitamin D3 (40ng or more which is also great for staying virus-free), using a sulca brush, and brushing only with baking soda, but oil pulling is one of my favorites. I've been doing it now, for several years. For me, it helps with what I call 'flossless flossing'. Swishing the oil around for 15-20 minutes (I do it while washing dishing and such), helps to loosen bits of food that might either need flossing or get missed altogether. I do occasionally floss, but it’s a rarity that I need to.

Luckily my dentist saw me right away and was able to move the tooth back in place and essentially stitched the gums back together and wired it in position to my neighboring teeth. After some healing, I'll need to get a root canal done. I'm hoping the oil pulling can help with the healing process! At least my tootb survived somehow.

I've only started oil pulling here and there the last few months due to my teeth being a greeny brown colour as I smoke Rolling tobacco and drink a lot of coffee and also like my fizzy drinks. The dentist said I had receding gums and always had to have fillings repaired and scaling and polishing. This time hygienist said everything looks ok apart from a bit of plaque buildup along top of teeth. No mention of gums. This was only after doing pulling for a few times a week and for a Month or two. My brushing isn't that regular either which I need to improve on. My partner started doing it too and her teeth look cleaner and said doesn't have bad breath or taste in mouth anymore.

I actually started doing this and I’m on day 3. I only did this because nothing worked to cure my bleeding gums and sensitive gums. I had a sore on my gum near my tooth (it ached so much I got a fever from it) and it kept bleeding. Was thinking of going to see the dentist but after seeing my husband get an emergency root canal and 10 canker sores under his tongue from the antibiotics prescribed, I thought to do this method before going to the dentist. So far, my mouth isn’t inflamed anymore and I don’t have a fever from the pain. It still bleeds a little (I mean it is a sore after all) but it definitely works for inflammation!! Only on day 3 and my gums are looking great and not feeling as sensitive as before! Will continue oil pulling to see if it will restore my gum line and enamel back!

My dentist removed me from their list but I was very lucky to be taken on at another one privately. I was dreading what I might be told. Guess what - I needed NO treatment! My dentist even commented that I must have a healthy diet. I oil pull and floss when I remember to and always clean my teeth at least twice a day. I eat a plant based diet and try to drink plenty of water. Reading the comments on here has made me decide to commit to daily oil pulling going forward. I used to not take very good care of my teeth and I have several crowns and missing teeth from having them pulled which has led to some gum recession and root sensitivity. I started oil pulling years ago sporadically and didn't know if it was making any difference. I picked it up again steadily this past year. I get infection flare ups and it absolutely helps to heal them and takes away pain within a day, between brushing, warm salt water rinses, then the coconut oil. My nightly routine is to brush, floss, mouthwash rinse then oil pulling for about 5 or 10 minutes. My gums are much lighter now, a healthier light pink instead of red and puffy. I use the coconut oil on my skin as well when I get dry skin or flare ups of rashes. It's a great way to moisturize your skin if you have pets too because it's food grade, non toxic to cats and dogs.

@LilyLeaf791 i usually eye ball the quantities but for your reference they should be around 2 tbsp mustard oil (never use refined oil), 1 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp powdered tsp of freshly ground dry neem leaves. You may use fresh neem leaves too if u have access. The consistency I prefer is that between of an oil and that of a toothpaste. So, non-runny but not very dry as well so that when massaging gums the paste does not scratch. Also, I apply this paste only to gums and not to teeth as salt can be abrasive to teeth. Hope this helps.
