Diva Cup is a brand of period products. I was also stumped on the fish, I've never heard of fish called tang or mullet.

I had a great time with the mini, finished it just over 2 minutes. I had AWESOME instead of HELLYES but it was easy enough to fix. I did know SELES right away, along with SEE.

Exciting Connections! I somehow guessed DIVA correctly (never heard of) and completed the puzzle without mistakes. I had forgotten that FLUKE and MULLET are fish; I never knew that TANG is a fish. Those were my leftovers too. Good Saturday Mini! Wow! Your time was indentical to mine, to the second. Fun Strands. I took a careful approach and completed this without unnecessary clicks.

I couldn't guess yellow, but I had heard of the fluke as a fish, from the Little Mermaid, "The fluke is the duke of soul," "Yeah."

Fun fact: it is an orange powder added to the Chicago River to make it green.

Dory from Finding Nemo is a blue tang, so that’s why I knew that one. Didn’t know mullet though, but nothing else came close.

Like you, I cleared light blue and green in that order right away. Having been to many an auction, green was very obvious. I remembered the fish from a previous Connections, where they used TANG and FLUKE. I knew SOLE was the 3rd, so my educated fourth guess was MULLET, giving me a perfect solve where Purple was my default solve but I thought it was ____ FLY. Well done on figuring out purple. I thought SOLO Cups were those disposable cups you typically find next to water coolers. And a Diva Cup, yeah, as a single guy, I'm not knowing that. I would have guessed it was some kind of bra, LOL. My guess pattern was 1 in 36, pretty common. As I type this it's a 58% solve rate with 23% scoring the perfect solve Still 5/5 for difficulty, but with more than a 50% solve rate, I would think it should be 4/5. Especially since almost 1 in 4 scored the perfect solve.

I got lucky and immediately saw purple because diva is strongly associated to the diva cup for me. Also I’ve played too much Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley so I know my fish lol

I mean, “moon” has a lot of other meanings whereas “diva”not so much, so I’m not sure you would make the connection even if you know the brand (especially with “sol” in the puzzle as well). I’ve never heard of the moon cup I’ll look it up :)

I went complex on the fish, and thought that it was fish where the word had another meaning. I've heard of Dover sole as a fish (cf sole of your shoe), and sorta thought mullet was a fish (as well as a haircut). Tang (guessed at it being a fish, would also be part of a sword blade), and butter (also guessed at it being a fish) and then tried fluke.

I made 2 mistakes because I didn't know what the 4th cup was either. I got the fish last. I took 4 years of marine biology and didn't remember any of those fish.

Fish were easy for me. In fact i found it all easy apart from being left with purple and being clueless about that.

Didn't notice that two answers crossed the board like that. But if you Google "spanagram" you get about 5.8k results. It rolls off the tongue nicely in my opinion.

At 20:50, it shows that the game itself uses both of those-SPAN-A-GRAM and SPANGRAM elsewhere. So, everybody’s right!!

I understood what you were saying about the way in which words relate in this game. I saw a few fish and a few currencies and I didnt know all of them but I geussed what I though sounded like fish (tang and I was somewhat sure about mullet), and currency (sol) and I got lucky. Connections Puzzle #552 🟩🟩🟩🟩 said at an auction 🟨🟨🟨🟨 fish 🟦🟦🟦🟦 "foreign" currency 🟪🟪🟪🟪 K-pop songs??
