Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, physician and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, joined us as part of an event sponsored by the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone and NYU School of Medicine’s Master Scholars Program in Humanistic Medicine to speak about the history of cancer.
The Masters Scholars Program in Humanistic Medicine at NYU School of Medicine helps medical students cultivate values such as empathy, justice, compassion, respect, and communication.
By enhancing their insight into the experiences of all people involved in the delivery and receipt of healthcare, students become more empathetic clinicians, scientists, leaders, and advocates.
