I Lived in a Small town of Western NSW Australia and there was a Old well on my Private Camp site. All the bricks had been Kicked into the Well in which was about 70ft Deep. When it rained my Camp would become semi flooded, especially around my Caravan steps, so i decided to dig a Trench into the black clay leading toward the lip of the well to drain the depression. One night was Drizzling rain, i had a Long neck of Beer in my Hand and was walking near the well when i slipped into the trench belly first. I started to quickly slide on my Belly toward the Well whilst in the trench. The Long neck went flying out of my hand and my two arms protruded over the well entrance whilst i was in motion, my head dipped over the well edge and now my chest had approached this zone, i remember my life flashed before me, just like you see on Movies, ( i always thought this was just Hollywood fiction) though i seen a couple of flashes of Great times, and and a blotchy glimpse of my Family. Then Suddenly i felt something Violently Grab the back of my jacket, and i can still remember the sound of the Polyester "Wack" the Jacket made. I lay there motionless just momentarily on my Belly staring into the black abyss below and the sound of echoing water spilling into the well. I thought whom is in my Camp and who saved me then? i got myself up onto my knees crawled out of the trench, peering around slowly looking for a Person or silhouette. Though the only one in my Company was my Loyal Red Heeler X Black Barb Kelpie.See i had saved him many years prior from a Abusive Owner. I then instantly i knew my little mate just saved my Life, confusion developed rapidly into Elation as i put my Arms around him and Broke Down, crying and thanking Him. He Traveled with me for some more years, and Passed away at aged 14 in 2009. I got sober in that year, and have been Sober since. He was my Best Mate, and still chokes me up like now, reminiscing of Me Best Mate. I have a Blue x Red now, i hope if i make it to Heaven Me ol Mate is there, i really Do. Peace to you All.

Of COURSE your Mate is there, and you and he will enter into the next life together. It is a timeless dimension, remember? He is not "waiting" for you - when you enter timelessness you are together, were together, and ALWAYS will be together. He loves you. He is with you all the time.

It is very impressive the tricks that you have taught your pup. I am interested in drive. My blue heeler pup was atrocious with a tug toy until recently, my hand and the tug toy deserved to be bitten equally. Now I can hold the toy, without fear of being latched onto, I am a big man, and the aggression shown by my pup to the tug toy, is wrenching my shoulder out of its socket. Your pup shows about as much aggression as my golden retriever showed.

Looking to get a new puppy so I was checking out videos. Not only did this video put a smile on my face it touched my heart. Why?! I'm looking for a service dog and maybe, just maybe, I can once again experience joy again. It's a good thing I have a keyboard cause my throat hurts all of a sudden. Thank you so much for the video! I spend basically 24/7 with my pup and we’re always training. She’s my working pup and helps me bring the cows in but she’s also the love of my life. Spend as much time with them as you possibly can. My red boy (7yrs old) feels like we only got him last year! My blue girl is 12 weeks and feels like we’ve not even had her a day. Time flies so use every opportunity you can to have time with them and use every opportunity as a training experience!

Tha1ne, They are super smart, sensitive and active dogs. They are not couch, or 2 a day walk dogs. They need an active and engaging owner. I've owned 2 blue heelers now and they are amazing.😀

A Blue-heeler. Extremely smart, loyal, agile, powerful, energetic and intense. They can be very protective and distrustful of strangers so may bail up visitors. They were bred to be work dogs and get bored, even neurotic if not kept active and engaged. Not a great house dog for the sedentary.

According to the "Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog Club of New South Wales" in Australia, your dog is not an Australian Cattle Dog. It is an Australian "Stumpy" Tail Cattle Dog. There are 2 different branches of the breed. Please see their website.
