I invite you to go find the information yourself as you will most probably ask for sources and credentials of said sources next. My need to justify my comments to a random internet person is non existent." All the above is a lie since the information regarding NZDF participation and resource management is fluid therefore this information as a fixed statistical report/ data doesn't exist at this point in time. There is ongoing analysis of the evolving situation/crisis, and it is this information that dictates resources management. Saying you have access to this information via online sources is a lie, unless you are a hacker.... are you a hacker AliceD User??? I'm sure this information will be released in the near future once a full assessment has been completed.

Jesus mate, you have something to protect don't you...... Try this. Read the news articles of the last few weeks about how many servicepeople have been deployed to various parts of NZ. Add them up. Call this figure A. Go google, 'size of NZ army' then do the same for the navy and the air force. Add them up. Call this figure B. Now subtract figure A from figure B. You will find the figure you have left is much larger than figure A. Another thing to be clear about, calling me a liar does not make me one.

You believe all it takes is to just throw as many soldiers out in the field as possible. You have no understanding of man management or resource allocation since manpower and resources are not infinite. There has to be a plan to strategically deploy your limited assets as effectively as possible to where they are needed most. It is not about numbers it's about resource management. You obviously have far more information than the public. I find it interesting that you are able to draw conclusions on my beliefs and understandings of man management or resource allocation. It very well may be that I have a very good understanding of these things, yet, disagree with your position. Your insistence that I must be simple-minded after reading a single (or two or three at best) comments reveals your ad hominem proclivities. @@aliceduser6347 I'm glad we can agree that you are ignorant, but I will also agree that calling you a liar was an overreaction when ignorance is a factor. My simple point is that unless you really know what is happening don't make baseless comments than try to justify them with emptier baseless (lacking actually facts) comments. In your case you are belittling hundreds of people who are not deployed directly but are working 24/7 in the background. The simplistic nature in which you view the response to this historic devastation is frustrating which is why anyone with no experience should reframe from making accusations of incompetence towards the NZDF regarding numerical support.

They are not baseless, I am using figures that are provided to the public. If there are other means in which I could make my 'uninformed' assessment please feel free to share them. If you have figures that are not available to the public then this would support your claims. You can not then expect anyone from the public to know this. The fact is that the comments I have made stand with the information I am able to use. I am well within my rights to make any accusation using that information. Perhaps the NZDF could be more forthcoming with what they are doing? You continue to use ad hominem arguments, I don't particularly think you are attempting to do anything other than assert that you know more than me. Your inability to make an argument speaks for itself and only has the effect of disengaging potential conversation about a subject.
