Absolutely agree, I raised this with my Labour MP Elect 3 years ago. She showed no interest or understanding. With the change of Government my new National MP suggested contacting Nicola Willis. I suspect this will fall on deaf ears too. NZ sold all our Gold in approx. 1992. Gold now now past NZ$4000. from 500 then. As the world enters a Precious Metal bull run gold will continue to appreciate compared to fiat currency

The reason youre not alone in the inflation battle, is that all western countries adopted same covid policy of cutting rates and printing too much currency that their economies struggled to absorb.

What are the consequences on the MPC for not meeting its remit in the foreseeable future ? I my view , a few heads must roll as a consequence of non performance to keep the stature of RBNZ . If I was at the helm , I would do some soul searching myself rather than continuing without delivering .
