Great game , I was there . At 26minutes 45 seconds Martin Offia was no longer “the fastest man in Rugby League” , when Andrew Ettingshausen ran from the other side of the field covering far more distance than Offia to tackle him out of the field of play . I still talk about that when conversation goes to Rugby League . 🤩🇦🇺🎊

Running without the ball has every player faster by way of sprinting technique than with the ball . It's not an accurate comparison. ET was midfield as well.

Agreed. The athletes today are better than they’ve ever been but the footballers have never been worse. The likes of langer or johns would have teams like the bulldogs or titans in the playoffs just by virtue of the extreme instinctive football they played that modern defences have never faced.

Got to play a round of golf with Jacko probably about a year and a half before he passed, just me and his brother in law. 1 of the best days in my life we just laughed the whole 18 holes, I've met plenty of footballers but none of them came close to Jacko just a humble and funny man and was genuinely interested in my life and what I had to say

some great tests between the two sides between 1990 and 1995. Australia just had the edge when it really mattered but the Brits never gave an inch during that period led to some great contests and still a time when the Biff was well and truly allowed.

Yeah says something about Peter Jackson to push Daley into the centres and Fittler off the bench. Renouf got his dues at the end of this year in the World Cup final. I remember his try in the final. Loved the Pearl. Would’ve hated to have been a selector back in these days. Crazy amount of talent on tap.
