Thanks Nick! This video really struck a cord with me. I know some people might have thought you were just stringing us along but I think it's just that you know how to spin a good yarn. As for the rope jokes, weave all been there. I hope this is knot the last we see of the rope!

Nick, first of all I love supporting another Nick. Honestly though, I love watching creative videos like these, but your personality and "Waffling" truly sets you apart. Watching you create is refreshing and a different experience in a great way. Totally dig the rope bowel, but one thought is instead of trimming the loose bits of rope from the rim, coat them in resin as almost "handles" could really set it over the top.

Gorgeous! Love the colors, and the rope is part of the beauty of it! Great work! A rope walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Get out of here - we don't serve rope!" So the rope goes outside and ties himself in a knot, and then roughs up the end of his head, and then goes back into the bar. The bartender looks at him suspiciously and says, "Hey, aren't you that rope that was just in here?" The rope replys, "Nope. I'm a frayed knot." GROAN!

Tip I learned the other day from a painter and decorator...it's obvious so everyone but me probably knows it 😅...anyway, to stop the hairs from coming off paint brushes get a pair of pincers and pinch the metal collar tighter around the bristles. Obvious? Ok, but it was a revelation to me! 😂🤣😂🤣 Cheers Nick👍😁

I do like the ideas about putting a little more forethought into the placement of the ropes, especially with all those lovely spirals. I think you could do it without sewing anything but that's a good idea too. One other idea is, you know how the first pouring of fast curing resin melted those 45's so they rippled beautifully? I think synthetic/plastic things might have really interesting results if you go ahead and use levels of fast hardening resin. It clearly doesn't affect all synthetics. Oh, one thing I noted on Blacktail Studios channel is that an alternative of sanding between levels to induce adhesion he carefully checks the resin with a plastic knife to see if it hasn't completely hardened but will still revert to a flat state. Can't remember which vid that was I've watched so many. That way the new level partially melts the old level. Cool, huh? I'm an so glad you're getting back into the groove of things, yay! One of these days I'm going to mail you an Amazon or eBay idea package, full of colorful goodies to play with. Imagination has no limits right, Nick? Except of course those frustrating creative blocks, been there done that. Hugs to you and your lovely family from Mexico. P.s. I'm American, lol.
