NZXT H510 Flow build guide, setup with NZXT Kraken Z63 push pull and more

This is a build video on the ‪@NZXTglobal‬ H510 Flow, a mid-tower ATX case with an improved layout for better airflow. I did a video on the H510i in 2019 ( • NZXT H510i unboxing an... ) and this is the new and improved version of both that case and that video =)
Here I'm doing a push/pull setup with the NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB ( • NZXT Kraken Z63 RGB C... ) all in one cooler and also swapping out the included standard fans with NZXT's RGB fans. Full specs below.
For the curious, with the front push/pull rad setup you can fit a GPU there that's under 11inches (279 mm) in length. My friend has a GTX Titan X in there that's 10.5 inches and there's still room.

Nicely done build and video. Subs from me. Any idea if front rad bracket can be flapped 180 degrees in order to be bend towards front panel of the case and then, if there is sufficient space to mount external fans from outside right on to the bracket. That would move whole push/pull set 10-15 millimetres to the front and could allow the internal cable management bar to be put in place. Another quick question: if NZXT CAM soft allows to flip the image on the screen of the pump 180 degrees, if so pump tubes could be set to the left not to lean on memory stick (although pump cables will be not that neat ...)

A few things. Make sure you've connected the USB connections to your motherboard. You also need to make sure you have an in/out cable connecting each fan and then connecting from the fans to the NZXT connector coming out of the pump head.

I want to buy 2 more fans total for my case. One on top and have a total of 2 in front by the radiators. So 4 in total in the front when you figure the AIO comes with fans. I am confused at which fans to buy I know I need 140mm for the top, but do I get a high static pressure or not? And for adding a fan to the front like I said, do. I need high static pressure fan since it’s going through the radiators?? I am not sure and need help lol. Because I know your changing the orientation of the fans so idk if this is needed.

So, FYI (and its what I did on my build) if you use a 240mm rad instead of the 280mm you can actually fit the rad and the pusher fans in the front part of the case and run the tubes through the plate. It clears front of the machine. This way you can have push/pull, maintain the cable hider bar, and have tons of room for a GPU (I have a 3090 Ti FE in there with tons of space to the fans.)

With taking the radiator outside of case and putting between bracket and front mesh, do you think is it possible to fit 360mm radiator by dipping it inside of the corrider which is behind front NZXT logo? Yes I know with that way third fan is not possible to install, only two fan could be installed. but at least, I could fit and install my z73. what do you think?

@@oxiabitit won't because it will hit a lip on the bottom inside as radiator bracket is recessed in that chamber. Hard to describe but basically under the bottom of the rad there is a lip that will stop you. You could add spacers or a cut/print a bracket and push the radiator out from the stock bracket a CM or so (would need to be pretty thick) and then I think a 360MM rad would go down, but this would push the fans into the front of the case. However you might be able to use low profile fans and fit, standard fans might fit and and bulge the front of the case out... In any case I'd def go with a bracket vs spacers because spacers would compromise the airflow by creating a sideways path for air to escape between the radiator and the pullers. Another option would be to go 4x low profile fans and mount the entire push/pull setup up front. Put two between bracket and rad to clear the lip, 360mm rad goes down to bottom, then 2 low profiles in front. Not sure if you could do it with 15mm fans or if you'd need 12s.

I have the standard NZXT H150 case, with a Corsair H100 cooler with a Ryzen 9 5900x CPU and 3070. I have my cooler fans the other way round still sucking air into the case. you see the back of the radiator, do i have these the wrong way around? My temps are running at min 38c maxing out at around 70c. Side note: my fans are running at a constant 4500rpm?? Any advice would be helpful!

Great in-depth video, but due to the size of my motherboard x670 elite I got as far as fitting it all except for the top fan as the cables going into the motherboard were in the way 😢. So May have to look for a small fan, what do you suggest as having the glass front is surely restricting the airflow

Thanks for this guide, really helpful, I'll come back when I do my build. I just ordered this case from NZXT yesterday. I have also got 2 - F140Q fans that I was thinking of putting to the front as intake and putting the 2 Aer F 120mm to the back and top as exhausts. This arrangement will create positive pressure in the case though. If I want neutral pressure I could put 1 - 120mm & 1 - 140mm to the front and the same to the back but the front of the case might look weird with two different size fans. I could also keep the 2 - 140mm to the from and throttle the rpm down to obtain neutral pressure but then you loose the extra air you could get from the 140mm. Not sure what's the best thing to do. (No RGB here, just B&W stuff)

What type of screw do I have to use in order to do the push pull config on my radiator? I only have 8 screws for the 2 140 mil fans on one side of the radiator, but I don't know where to get 8 more for another two fans. I have two spare Noctua 140 mil fans (not slim). Also, how do I move/remove the cable management hider? I need more clearance for the fans.

Im not sure if youre aware but when you use an AIO you really shouldnt mount it like you did. Tubes down is the way. Longevity and noise level will be much better. If you do not believe me watch the long video from Gamers Nexus. Ofcourse, its your money so please use as you see fit. i bought the same case recently but i decided tohave the front aio upside down as i heard over and over , that the pump needs to be below the cooling block. thats the only issue i have with your build. it just doesnt look right with the aio pump so high above the block.

You've misunderstood that. The pump (which is on the CPU block) shouldn't be the highest point - which it isn't here.

@@TheProvokedPrawn well i guess it depends on the aio then :D im using the bequiet pure loop and the pump is integretaded into the tubing. i might have confused that the pump is on top of the radiator in this particular aio you chose.( which it obviously isnt :D) like it is in the msi core liquid . im fairly new to using aio so i wasnt too aware of all the different pump placements you can have .

Hey ,im confused right now because on the description you put that you used 2 (120mm) and 2 (140mm) , but in the video you just use 1 (120mm) for the rear and the other 3 are two of them at the water cooler and the 3rd on at the top. And other thing can i use the fan that comes with the box h510 flow at the front to put it on the top? thanks.

He uses one 120mm fan in the rear, one 140mm fan on the top, two 140mm fans on the inner radiator, and two fans 140mm on the front mesh. Yes, you can use the fan that comes with the H510 Flow at the front, for the top of the case. The fan that comes at the front is a 120mm fan, therefore it will fit on the top of the case.

@@strxndo666 the first two fans in the front mesh, is to help pull air in. The last two fans on the inside of the case, helps pull the air in further and faster through the radiator. In essence, it provides better airflow because you have two fans pulling in, and the other two pulling in even more to help it go through the radiator and into the case. If that makes sense lol.

Actually I've checked (see the specs here nzxt.com/product/h510-flow) and 120mm rad support is at the rear. So probably the best format is 120 fans at the front for intake and 120mm rad at the rear exhaust and a top fan for exhaust as well if you're doing that.

My kit didn't come with the new bracket for LGA1200. You can request one though or you motherboard may work with older gen brackets. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXeac2WKbrKsbKc

I have a similar setup except I used a 240mm radiator. I mounted the radiator + 1 set of fans before the bracket and 1 set of fans after it. This gave me clearance for a 320mm GPU, Gigabyte RTX 3070 TI Vision OC.

@@TheProvokedPrawn if you tried to put a 3080 in that the way it set up it would not fit. I know because I have almost an identical build, So how's that nonsense? There's less than an inch of clearance with my gigabyte vision 3080. If the fans are on the front it's a different story.

I love the H510 and it's one of the easiest cases to build with. Just small things like fan cable routing and the pull out AIO tray is nice. I would run 2x140mm fans with a custom curve and would have decent temps.

You should be able to mount push/pull in this case. The cable management bar can be moved over slightly. Unless it's just the AER fans that don't fit.
