This is an unboxing and installation of the ‪@NZXTglobal‬ Kraken Z63 RGB. An expensive, but glorious all in one CPU cooler that features a really nifty LCD screen that you can use to show all sorts of things including gifs, CPU and GPU load, clock speed, temperatures and more. This liquid CPU cooler is really customisable and runs really well. It's also dead easy to setup and install. This is a 280mm cooler with two 140mm RGB fans which feature a daisy chain setup, making them easy to install.

For the curious, with the front push/pull rad setup you can fit a GPU there that's under 11inches (279 mm) in length. My friend has a GTX Titan X in there that's 10.5 inches and there's still room.

Great video, i have the same system and it was daunting to assemble, this would have helped immensely. Word of warning though, if i had the pull fans inside my radiator my current founders 3090 would not fit in my 510 elite case. if you go with a bigger card just use the 2 at the front of the rad.

just for anyone who might run into the same thing i did: the h510 has a different AIO mounting bracket which has little bends on the top and bottom that prevent direct mounting a 280 rad so you won't be able to do a push pull like this, it's 240 or gtfo

Can someone plz help, just built my first pc, booted up the computer, the bottom three fans, didn’t not turn on except half of the 3. Realized I had a rgb pin left to put. Hello, thank you for the detailed video. I’m having a problem that I haven’t been able to solve for weeks.. the RGB lights aren’t coming on, I’ve connected the rgb cable to the “in/out” cable that I’ve connected to the fan, the usb cable is connected to the motherboard, everything is connected to something and the lights still don’t come on. The only thing I haven’t done is download the nzxt app.. would that possibly get the lights on?

You connected the in/out cable to the NZXT cable on the pump head as well? You also need to ensure the USB connection is in place and yes you will need the app, but even without it they will turn on.

I'm doing a case swap soon for my Asus Rog strix motherboard, I went with the new NZXT H50 flow it has the new additional fan at the bottom of the case pulling air into the case for where the GPU is. I was thinking of doing a push pull setup but I'm not sure if I need it, depends on how effective this new bottom fan is? I replaced their stock fan with a noctua. My nzxt kraken is a 280 radiator and can only be front mounted.

Have you noticed higher cpu temps when installing nzxt cam software ? When I downloaded it it went up like 10 degrees Celsius so 42 (no load) and up 20 under load. When I uninstalled the cam software it went back down to 32 degrees Celsius even under load

NZXT has addressed in the past that their cam software may display higher temps and to use alternative cpu info apps instead mine said I was on 92 celcius while gaming so i downloaded another app and said it was on 75 average.

Got a Question, I don't understand why do most designs that have the liquid cooling system with the radiator PEOPLE put the FANS to PUSH AIR into the CPU Chassis like on this setup, so my question is that if the radiator just needs air flow to travel thru so that the internal liquid dissipates the heat to cool down the cooling liquid, that AIR that goes thru the radiator is now HOT so now we are throwing HOT air over out MOTHERBOARD and CPU (In other words we are throwing the hot the heat that we dissipated from the CPU to the Liquid Coolant and to the Radiator back into the CPU with the now Hot air are throwing in). Please correct me if I am wrong, wouldn't it make more sense to have the now hot AIR that went thru the RADIATOR go OUT of our Computer CHASIS? I imagine that the AIR from inside the computer cannot be too hot, and even when it is what cools the Liquid Coolant inside the Radiator is NOT the temperature of the AIR (while cooler air does help) but the quick transfer of air thru the radiator which dissipates the heat. I wonder if the... well I think there is no perfect way, just trying to make sense with the logic of this issue, what is your opinion? Loved your videos and detailed explanations ... Thank You.

I think you'll find it's much the same either way. If, in this instance, I'd had fans on the front pulling cold air in, that air would be warmed by the GPU and the NVMe drives/RAM etc. Then if you exhaust through a radiator it's still the same issue, now the CPU is being cooled by warm air. That one is pretty easy, It simply doesn't do much (about a few degrees) and by prefering to put it at the end of the loop you only favor your CPU instead of your GPU by a few degrees and vice versa. When you have a powerful enough rad setup (4x140mm sandwich around it in my case, but that's already overkill for my explanation), the air coming in is still cold, much colder than the rest of the case. It completely negates the problem and becomes benefical for everything.

Fans only blow in one direction. A push-pull setup means the fans both face the same way. The fans inside the PC need to have the rgb facing the radiator or they'll be pushing back against the other fans keeping all the hot air on the radiator.

@@fynkozari9271 I'd say average design at the worst. Most rgb fan companies only put the rgb on one side to keep costs down. Not everyone wants RGB so badly they will spend an extra 40% for a few extra lights. It would be a waste to sandwich those extra lights between the fans and a radiator.

@@TheProvokedPrawn if this is jtc, GN or similar then yeah I've watched them all today and still confused. But my understanding from them all was you want either top mounted or if they are front mounted, inlet/outlet on rad should be at the bottom?

Damn I pinned a comment about that on the case video and forgot to do it here. But.. For the curious, with the front push/pull rad setup you can fit a GPU there that's under 11inches (279 mm) in length. My friend has a GTX Titan X in there that's 10.5 inches and there's still room.
