A good reason why the drives mount from the back side panel instead of the typical front side panel is because of the fan on the front side panel. When that fan is plugged in and the cable is secured tightly, it is often cumbersome to open up the case when there's a fan cable attached to the door. There are no fan cables interfering with the other side panel so fiddling the hard drive installations is easier to do.

the top natively supports 2x140mm set ups, so you would put it in the top of the case, this case is actually really neat for water cooling in general, you could put a triple rad in the top and dual in the front, and a single in the back if you needed it. and there area few 200mm rad's available, so you could totally get 4 radiators in this...

I have the Switch 810 and I love it, there is so much space in the case for rads and components. The only thing I do not like about the 810 is that because it is a full tower it is quite the pain to move but that's expected. If you want to do serious water cooling, I would go with the Switch as you could easily fit a triple rad, two dual rads, and a single rad, but it's more which one you like the look of.

Linus,please hear me out. The first time i saw your channel was because of an old video of i think the sennheiser HD 800 where you put them on in that really "storage-like" room (the old room that is) with stuff everywhere around you in your job outfit. You described perfectly what the product was,made everything feel really smooth and not weird and you actually put them on,which surprised me since lots of reviews just talk about them and don't do anything. I didn't subscribe that day. PART 2 ->

Linus, reversing the drive sleds, means you only have to take off one sidepanel, when changing an HDD. In a conventional case design, you have to pull off both sidepanels, to change an HDD.

Came here to look for a review of the Phantom 630 that I am planning to pick up second-hand... I have watched a lot of recent Linuc Tech Tips vids and love them, the (much) younger Linus looks so strange! I miss the goofiness. I want to install 3 x corsair hydro x 360 radiators in this case, so far seems like it will fit it all.

but i was left with a really good memory of that guy that made these awesome reviews in that really professional yet "homey" ambient that made you relax while listening and not cringe because of the how much the guy talking acted,you were really natural (as you are now) and that's what i remembered. As i saw more reviews on other channels,i always remembered how you described perfectly that product and other channels felt really weird,fake and way too "homey",literally unboxing at home. PART 3

NZXT Phantom Full Tower has 150mm Clearance for CPU heatsink. NZXT Phantom 630 has 170mm. Doesn't seem like much, but the 'original' lacks the room for a side fan and an NH-D14 CPU cooler; however, the 630 has enough room. 630 has 2x usb 3.0, single switch all-fan control, modular 3.5 inch bays, rear I/O led, and a few other various things. If you want to know more head on over to Newegg and look at either the original or the 630; there is a chart of the differences on either item page.

But in the top front you can because there is the front i/o with the usb ports. And covering the fans doesn't mean to me with cloth or something similar especially when I let them spin with low rpm's. Also I wouldn't go with 2 x 200mm fans because I wanna have positive air pressure in my case --> 2 x 200mm fans as intakes and 1 x 200mm and the rear fan (120 or 140mm) as exhausts. Keeps most of the dust outside.
@Jankiz00711 жыл бұрын
Linus, for the audio- use a separate recording device from the rig you currently use and that way you can have good quality audio to go with the video quality ;) To sync up the audio, just clap a few times infront of the cameras, and then align the audio spikes to match.... (also works for recording via two cameras and switching between them afterwards)

I completely agree. An external one is so much more practical and having 1 or 2 5.25" bays would actually be a good. That way if the person doesn't use optical they could fill up the 2 spaces with a reservoir.

Fair enough. My HAF-X has a flat top, but like this case the top is populated by two 200mm fans. You shouldn't cover those up, so there's that too. I haven't had a case I could sit things on since I broke away from mid tower cases. Most full towers that I've seen come with dual **0mm mounts at the top these days.

Great case and great video Linus as always, my only gripe with the Phantom is the side panel, why can't they give us the option of either a full size window panel, OR a mesh side panel? I hate the look of having both, and this case would be nearly perfect if it weren't for that. It'd be nice for you to give products a score though, your reviews feel kinda empty without it, and although I understand you may have reasons for not doing it, I just feel it would finish your videos off perfectly ^__^

Hey Linus, I am a videographer too, Why don't you shoot dual camera and then edit accordingly instead of live switching and editing and all that? It will keep you from having to worry so much about the switcher when unboxing and you won't have anymore "wrong camera switch" or cameras randomly out of focus and all the other technical issues you guys have often. You can also hire me on and show you the WAYYYYS!

4x 200mm filtered intakes, 1 120mm exhaust (GPU not withstanding). That's about as positive as it gets, lol. This case has an almost identical design from a cooling perspective. If you want a table you can always do some case modding. Weld 4 "arms" to the beams above the side panels and put a flat surface on the arms. That'd give you plenty of fan clearance. Warning: This may look ridiculous.

No all the reviewers are given "samples" for free. They can keep them or sell them or do whatever they want for them. It cost like $50 for a company to send the product to linus but in return they get thousands of dollars of sales.
