"O Christ the Lord, O Christ the King" was written by the Reverend R T (Reginald Thomas) Brooks (also sometimes known as Peter Brooks), who worked for the BBC religious department. The hymn was published in 1984.
The tune is 'Farmborough', written by Arthur Sydney Warrell, who was born in Farmborough in Somerset and is best remembered for his arrangement of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” (1935) which is included in “Carols for Choirs.”
