Voctave is made up entirely of current and former members of the Voices of Liberty which is an Acapella group at Epcot in Walt Disney World that sings folk, patriotic, Americana, and Disney songs. Jamey Ray (Back row, middle) is the creator of Voctave and does all of their arrangements. In addition to being in Voices of Liberty he is also a music professor at Rollins College.

I love that the other members of Voctive focus on the soloist. It leads the audience to do the same thing. There doesn't seem to be any divas in the group, even the singers who are naturally going to stand out (like Kate and Tiffany) do NOT steal the show like they could. Kate can sing amazing soft and quiet at her highest notes. I think Tiffany can sing almost as high. I am sure there are Voctive followers who will be quick to correct me, if I am wrong. You really need to react to their "Mary Did You Know" feat. Mark Lowry. There is some crazy note holding done there as well.

Hands down, best A Cappella group. Sorry Home Fries and Pentaholics, these guys don’t need any production effects, reverb, bass boosting, or auto tune or melodyne. Just fantastic supported singing from every register.

Their voices are truly wonderful - there are lots of them though, so it once again brings back to me just how 'full' PTX do these tracks with just 5 people. Not taking anything away from Voctave , they are individually spectacular vocalists. Thanks again Shawn !

@@shawnslounge I agree you should do Pentatonix version of this song. One reactor I watch said theirs is the way that song should always be done. Im fine with the slow somber carols when I'm in church but when I listen daily during the session I want joyful and fun.
