You friend did a wonderful job. The singing was delightful, but the design of the building also caught my attention. I recognized the hand of architect E, Fay Jones, and did some internet sleuthing to discover this is the Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel, located at Powell Gardens near Kansas City. Thanks for posting, I now have another building added to my list of places I'd like to visit.

+Cathy Johnson Thorncrown is world famous and I thought this had to be designed by Jones because it is so similar. He did a handful of chapels that all share the use of latticework structure with glass. And he used a lot of exposed wood, and stone in his designs. He admired FLLW, and studied with him for a while, it's obvious in his buildings. Thorncrown Chapel, I believe, is loosely inspired by Wayfarers Chapel designed decades earlier by Wright's son, Lloyd.
