Adolphe Adams wroth the music(A Jewish man) Placide Cappeau de Roquemaure, wrote the words under commission of the French Catholic church, and thought it would be better with music and went to Adams for the music. Adams was not going to do it but changed his mind. After Roquemaur left the church and it was discovered that A Jewish man wrote the music the church banned it from services, but the people loved it and continued to sing it. Rumor has it that in the Franco Prussian war a frenchmen came out of his trench with no weapons and started singing oh holy night. Both sides was in shock, but after he completed three verses a german soldier came out of his trench and sang Vom Himmel noch, da komm' ich her. Ich bring' euch gute neue Mar, Der guten Mar bring' ich so viel, Davon ich sing'n und sagen will, the beginning of Martin Luthers "from heaven to earth here I come" It is said that for 24 hours there was peace between the lines in observance of Christmas. In 1906 a former chief chemist of Edisons, and a professor had a new type of generator. He hooked up a microphone and across the airwaves to the shock of people on ships, and in newspaper offices with wireless technology of the times he told the story of the birth of Christ followed by singing Oh Holy Night. Those three things speak volumes on the power of this poem turned song, and the message it brings.

Sorry but I really felt claustrophobic when I saw your video with the candles all around you and tbh at the back of my mind I'm expecting some sort of accident going to happen like the candles burning your violin or something like that .....Anyways, nice playing!
