They had everything. They had raw young talent coming through, they were growing in revenue, he was doing a good job at the start with the funding he was getting. It was the impatience of the board that wrecked the club. Was Oleory the right man for the job probs not to guide them to glory but he would have been better if he was left with the young team he had and sensible recourses. People blame Ridsdale and yes he was to blame but remember Oleory chose the players he wanted just Ridsdale paid ridiculous amounts of money of money for them. Compare the signings Arsenal made to Leeds during that time. Robert pires was bought for £7.5 million, Seth Johnson was signed for the same, Robbie Fowler and Robbie Keane were both signed for £12 million each, Arsenal signed Thierry Henry and Sylvain Wiltord were signed for £11-12 each. See where I am coming from? Fowler was injury prone and Robbie Keane was decent but he’s not going to win you the title. The players signed were Oleory’s choices and he made some bad ones.

@paulwilliams5296 funny, terrible?, you would have still been down the bottom if it didn't happen, you people are either narrow minded or just flashy supporters who only support when your team is winning, pathetic.
