It is obvious that Joel has a background in barbershop harmony. Notice how his blend and pitch is perfectly in sync with the other parts. This kind of ability is a staple of barbershop vocals. Absolutely amazing!!!

That is true and there's not too many southern gospel singers who can say that they with the bass of the Acoustix either 🤗

Funny story, I sing with a group called 12bucsworth and we recently got to perform with Gaither pianist, Gordan Mote. Gordan is an amazingly talented individual who has overcame so much in his life, a real down to earth guy. We were performing "Oh, what a time" in rehearsal and one of our soloist forget some words.. Afterwords, Gordan just laughed and said, "don't worry bother, Wes always asks me what the words are!" But seriously these guys are incredible, and Wes is a great tenor.

I found myself playing this over and over. Joel, I wouldn't be surprised if they call on you in the future to fill in. That sound was so there! This type of cross-promotion is just what we need more of within the musical community. Philip Maxfield, Chairman BHS - M & PR Committee

this is where southern gospel and Barbershop connect. Southern Gospel in a sense... is barbershop rock. Think about it. The Tenor Lead Bari and Bass, then instrumental backing! It makes sense now.

Awesome, indeed, Joel. Nothing less than we expect from you (!) but, all the same, you had a great opportunity and you really nailed it. I'd give anything to see more of the before and after, though... ! Love it when folks outside of B'shoping discovers that there's some talent in our ranks.

If we could only get BHS to to recognize that all men in barbershop is best for barbershop, they could go back to having many many thousands of members and attendees at international conventions, not 2,000-3,000 as is the trend lately.

You and I may run into any part of, or all of the GVB on the streets of that City one day and with our perfected voices, never off key, spontaneously burst into praise! Then a Happy Father will rise up on his Throne and send back applause and praise to His humbled and grateful children. We have so much to anticipate, Dream On!
