It doesn't matter what she sings, she puts all of herself into it and pours every ounce of emotion she has into it. It's something you can't fake and very few singers can do consistently. Anyone can sing a song, Floor makes you live it.

It doesn't get any better than that! Floor has been blowing up in the Netherlands due to her performances on the show. She has scheduled 9 solo shows around the Netherlands for January. All 9 shows sold out in one day! Henk will be special guest on these shows to perform the Phantom with Floor. I wish I had a ticket. Also it is in the works for Henk to guest at the Nightwish show on November 20, 2020 at the Ziggo Dome. This show is now sold out over 1 year ahead of time. Floor is also going to perform at the Raskasta Joulua (Finnish for Heavy Christmas) tour in December. Things are going great for Floor and the boys. Also the new Nightwish CD is about to start the mixing process and expect out in early spring. The Decades DVD is about to drop in the US on Dec 6th. Great reaction! "Sing for me my Angel of music!"

A perfect D6 note. Floor Jansen is a rock singer but has classical study. She started it because of Henk Poort. She watched him in the "Phantom of the Opera" ( he had the part of the Phantom himself) and she was saying to herself "I want to do that and sing like him." She became the Floor she is today by studying and practicing inspired by Henk, she adores him.

Hello. You enjoyed our Dutch Metal Queen Floor Jansen, together with Dutch opera baritone Henk Poort. Floor participated this summer at a TV show in Netherlands called Beste Zangers (Best Singers). In this show format there are invited 7 Dutch singers from different genres, and each of first 7 weeks/episodes one of them is in the central spot, and the other 6 sing songs from his/her repertoire or related to his/hers life. In the 8th and last episode (last Saturday) they sang duets. The show is intended for the Dutch national audience, but us, the Nightwish fans all over the world, couldn't miss Floor Jansen's performances. In the process, we enjoyed other artists performances too. There was an episode, 4 weeks ago, when all other 6 sang songs for Floor, including 2 Nightwish covers and 1 After Forever cover. Henk Poort is a Baritone Opera singer who can alsoo sing as a Tenor. He is born in Amsterdam and didn't start his classical education untill he was 26. But he sang as a non-proffesional way before that and stood out amongst the rest. He first did a schooling in crafting Biljarts-tables 👀 According to himself he has done 30 Opera's (many in Germany)m 28 Opperettas and about 10 Musicals and some acting. He is a long time Idol of Floor Jansen since she heared Henk sing in the dutch Phantom. Yes Floor is a fangirl 😜😁😍 She said to him that even though she now knows him personnaly, he will always be "THE" Henk Poort to her 😎🎶👍

Everyone knew it was going to be great and the hype around it was unreal. It wasn't great it was EPIC and exceeded any and ALL expectations. I swear Webber wrote this song with these two in mind!! BUT how much fun did they have doing this duet, Floor gets to sing with one of her idols and Henk, well he never had this much fun doing any duet before Floor. It was so good that even the pros who expected greatness had to stand and clap for this duo at the end, that is all you need to know. Honestly I thought the cameras were going to explode on that last note by Floor!!Great reaction and real appreciation for this effort by 2 professionals who actually did this in character to really make the point. Really sorry as are many fans that this show is over nothing else like it here in the States and a big thank you to Denise Hof and her translation of the show which really gave you the complete picture and intimate view of this group of really great singers from different genres.

I guess I don't automatically associate those things with only doing business. I'm honestly a little bit confused by this point actually, but I suppose perhaps the short typed comments on the Internet do not always convey all the complexities of language. To address your second point, at the end of the day, yes, we would have to hear Tuomas give his approval, but something tells me that Floor wouldn't have agreed to it if the band wasn't in agreement. That last note was a D6.... Henk Poort was a idol of Floors growing up. Floor, and Henk and the band you see here are doing 9 concerts in the Netherlands in January and February 2020. All 9 sold out within 24 hours.
