O Magnum Mysterium - Nathaniel Byers (Original composition) Sung by the Towne Singers

This video is an original composition of mine with the famous Latin text "O Magnum Mysterium." I tried to capture the lush, yet tasteful dissonances of modern choral works, while still paying homage to the renaissance polyphony that is so commonplace in past renderings of this text. The text is displayed below, along with its English translation. I hope you all enjoy it!

O magnum mysterium,
et admirabile sacramentum,
ut animalia viderent Dominum natum,
iacentem in praesepio!
O beata virgo, cuius viscera
meruerunt portare
Dominum Iesum Christum.

O great mystery,
and wonderful sacrament,
that animals should see the newborn Lord,
lying in a manger!
O blessed virgin, whose womb
was worthy to bear
the Lord Jesus Christ.
