O Scale Lionel Santa Fe Black Warbonnet Texan

I am reviewing Lionel's 2-10-4 Texan in the Santa Fe Black Warbonnet colors. This is a standard Lionel Legacy locomotive with whistle steam.

My sympathies to you and your family on the passing of your wife. I went through the same thing three years ago and after 46 years of marriage I found that needed to rekindle my love of modeling railroading . Very nice video and I love the engine. The black paint scheme really shows this off!

I’m pretty sure that black bonnet paint scheme is a “what if” so it didn’t really exist but I like that scheme so I got it. Thanks for reaching out!

Great video! I have one of those too. I didn't pre-order either. I waited until I saw it on You Tube and listened to the reviews. Then I was interested in finding one so I had ordered one from Charles Ro and supply. Great looking engine. What I found though is that the engine must be operated on very even and level track. If not the front wheels will hop off the rail. Another great moment in model railroading!

Great video. That Black Bonnet paint scheme really looks good. I too am a fan of that scheme and looking forward to adding to my cylindrical hoppers I picked up from Pat's trains. Thanks for sharing.
