That was neat. I could almost hear the egg sizzling on the stove while someone's coffee is being poured.

very cool....i am in the process of making a desert diorama from scratch ....one of the buildings is a 50s diner with a attached 70s motel including interiors.......having some fun doing this. nice to know that others are having a great time doing their own thing as well time as well ....

WOW. I love structures the most. With full interiors. I'm working on The New Rex Hotel in 1/20.3. 4 floors, stands 4 feet tall!! One of the signs is in the show on neon signs. It's in the kitchen area at the "shop" garagemahal. There will be a show. AND in three weeks, night scenes at Steve's fishing village.

same here. randy from Ithaca ny, in process of building a 1-32 scale live steam tug. 90+% fully functional interior workings. odd scale = more challenge.

I put interiors in a lot of my O scale MTH buildings and weathered them. They turned out pretty well. They're not quite this highly detailed, but it was a big improvement over "out of the box."

Love doing this stuff. Structures are my favorite part of model railroading.

The rio grande's first intention was to go down over raton pass south through new mexico and down to mexico to meet up with Mexico's narrow gauge. But the atsf had a surveyor dressed as a sheep herder sneak by the D&RGW surveyors, and at a ranch that's near the pass, they santa fe gave them picks and told em to start digging. So the rio grande laid narrow gauge to Antonio and from there built the Chile line to Santa fe. They added western because they built to salt lake city.

Yup! And when they turned west instead of south they decided to become a Pacific Railroad. All the way to the Bay Area. They made it to Ogden Utah. However they were involved in building the Western Pacific. This being their pacific line. Steve has modeled the original plan. Narrow gauge all the way to the Sacramento River .
