Fellowas , That is what President Bush called them . I was with them recently . I've known them for over 50 years , Before the switch . I love these men like fathers . When I lost mine this past year , The Oakridge Boy's where there for us and my Dad . Duane had him in tears.....tears of joy !

A beautiful song--what a voice!! I really miss the days, when I'd go see The Oak Ridge Boys perform live, over at the Puyallup fair, every year--the tickets were only $10.00!! My, how times have changed!😊💒

I grew up in the 1980's, this song makes me sad. It reminds of when America was a land of dreamers and risk takers, not the socalist crap we have fallen into now.

The Oak Ridge Boys did a great job on this. I have always loved the Oak Ridge Boys. If anyone is interested take a listen to this same song by the Righteous Brothers (Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield) kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3a4eZKNaZyUgMU . The Righteous Brothers sang the song in 1974. The Oak Ridge Boys sang the song in 1979. Both are equally good. Love both of these groups of talented singers❣❣

Harold Reid was so funny. I remember the time he said, "The Oak Ridge Boys told us, 'The Statler Brothers may have won more awards than we have, but at least we have a better-looking bass singer.' I have not met their new bass singer." :-D
@ericv75314 жыл бұрын
I don’t know. Harold was great but he was definitely a guy who held up the bottom and didn’t have the kind of voice that could take a lead like this
@kevinmiller63243 жыл бұрын
@@pegallen6983 Harold and Richard are both good, but neither of them can hit the low notes like JD Summers. JD's low even when he spoke.
