I grew up in The Bay Area, where I had the privilege of following this team. They were a rock band in cleats.

Juiced or not, they made baseball exciting.

yep that's the point of the video. But there's no "not". They were juiced. Canseco started using in the minor leagues around 1984 and McGwire in 1988. Mac did set the rookie HR record of 49 without steroids in 1987.

@@johnmongani5223 Cheaters both. If you respect them, you have NO respect for real players.

@@dougamundson6836 well if you believe they weren't "real" players then you need to throw out most of the players in the Hall of Fame. They were all juiced on something. And todays players are all juiced on creatine and other stuff so its a tired argument to whine about cheating in sports. There always has been cheating and there always will be cheating. The Bash Brothers were two of the best at it along with Barry Bonds so BIG respect for those guys, lol.

Canseco hit a ball in BP at old Comiskey park when I was 12. I still remember the sound it made when it hit the wooden bleachers in the upper deck, it Sounded like an M80 . Funny how all these steroid guys would have been great players naturally but had to be greedy. Canseco , McGuire , Bonds . Arod to name a few. Being an all-star wasn't enough apparently.

McGuire or Canseco or Bonds or Sosa

they belong in the hall of fame, along with all the other juiced up meatheads. they comprised the history of baseball at the time & were the highlights. Nobody can even match their accomplishments today thanks to all this goody 2 shoes banning steroids when the rest of society is corrupt AF.

They both cheated and it shows.

Funny thing is you still have to hit the ball and if they were not juiced they would still be home runs not a far ?

@@lewissustaita2699 that's true of McGwire for sure. He hit 49 homeruns in his rookie year to set the record and he was not on steroids that year. He started using them the next year in 1988. It became more of a problem when smaller players started using them and were hitting a lot of homeruns that led to big money contracts they wouldn't have got if they were just the average players they were without steroids.
