City Council has to approve the Environmental Impact Report for the site on 2/17 and then I think the City, County, and the A's have to finalize a binding agreement that all concerned have to approve. I am very hopeful this gets done!

The Port of Oakland were not utilizing Howard Terminal as much and they are willing to sell the land to the A's/city for the new ballpark. The A's have stated they are willing to give/sell about 20% of the land back to the Port by Schnitzer Steel if they need it. Although, I recently heard the Port is kicking out some of the trucking businesses who were renting the spaces there as they need it to store some of the shipping containers as the shipping container business has picked up with all of the back up in Southern California.
