That's my Dad (Dick Fagerstrom) - lyricist, song-writer, banjo player and lead singer. He'd be thrilled to know his music made it to KZbin - if he had any idea what KZbin was ;-)

I love this video too. I've lived here since 1966, and I consider this home. I just hope we don't lose our beloved oakland A's.

"Right outside the city limits Scoots a freeway called The Nimitz" Arguably the greatest rhyming couplet in musical history!

I would also love to get a recording of both sides of the original 45 record.

I've been singing that one for over a year now. Is there any way to get a recording?

hi, I only had the LP version; don't know about a 45 rpm. I suggest using Audacity or Adobe Audition to capture the audio.
