The Oakland Ballers, nicknamed the Oakland B's, are an independent baseball team that will play in the Pioneer League in 2024.

The Pioneer League isn’t nearly as important or prestigious as the MLB so while it’s technically a professional league it’s still a huge downgrade

It's funny how karma works. Because back 2017 laney college had the chance to move the Oakland A's next to laney college by building the stadium 🏟️ over one of parking lot. But the stupidest thing happened the people of Oakland was stupid enough to sign a petition to stop them from building the stadium. So karma is a Bitch congratulations 🎉 you played yourself. Now they're moving to Vegas LOL. Bet you guys wished you never done that.

@@DAILYBLUNTATHON I think the big cooperations logic is, Oakland doesn’t need a NHL team because that’s what LA and San Jose is for. And big money already relocated the two other professional teams out of the area so it’s probably viewed as the best option for a new team unfortunately. I’m not agreeing with you entirely, but I miss Oakland sports teams, too.

All these whining fans should have supported the A’s by attending games at the Coliseum.
@robbyg81048 ай бұрын
A's fans fully support the team, Fisher ran the team into the ground. He gutted the roster, traded off good players, let others leave via free agency, never spent a dime improving the roster or the ballpark, raised ticket prices, increased parking and concessions, and when it came to negotiations Oakland would meet his demands, but then Fisher was always demanding more from Oakland, and he tried to leverage Oakland against Las Vegas. The most recent example of A's fans supporting the team when they filled the parking lot, but the stadium was practically empty, because they were protesting their incompetent, insufferable owner John Fisher.

@@pipehitter114When the A's where really good in the 1990's, and the Coliseum was in decent shape and baseball friendly (no Mt. Davis), the A's averaged well over 2 million a season. They averaged over 2 million a season in the early 2000's. In the last 15 years, the A's had 2 million in 2014 when they had a playoff-contending team, from 2006 to 2019 their attendance was well over a million people, though usually under the AL average by about 500,000 yearly. Attendance really dropped off in 2020 because of Covid, then 2021 to present because John Fisher gutted the team (letting young stars go), he spent no money to improve the roster or ballpark, he increased priced--tickets, concessions, parking..., treated his players in the major and minor leagues like a pile manure, and he started exploring moving the team, trying to use Las Vegas as a way to leverage the city of Oakland... The bottom line is that if the A's had state-of-the-art, well kept baseball-only stadium in Oakland, and an owner cared enough to keep it's stars, while adding talent to the roster, you'd see baseball really flourishing like in the early 1990's.
