You need to check out the tonal thin blue line ones. They are a bit more costly, but worth it. I too do the exact same duties as a LEO and firearms instructor as you stated. I don't wear them in tactical gear, though. I prefer those much better, and the prizm lenses are far superior.

Most reviewers do not provide their own personal use case, they rather offer a very generalized perspective. Great review sir.

So I actually went and bought these and I must say they're great. Thanks for the vid, as I probably never would've found them otherwise.

Glad i found this was about to select the the coasta shades over these because my buddy swears they’re better. However the frame work is what I like overall.

Dude Oakley sold out about 10 years ago the new company that owns them has moved the factory to China, the first flak jackets was absolutely one of the best pair of glasses you cld want specially for LE, now the 2.0 flak feels like cheap knock offs they quit using that great hydrophobic coating, and the ballistic ratings are cut in half so you may want to go back to the made in USA 1.0 flak’s , don’t want to see your eye get poked out lol...

75th Teaster I just tried on a pair of the 2.0s today and they say made in the USA right on the frame?
@75thteaster545 жыл бұрын
Alex Shewan Ok that’s cool so you got a pair that was made in China but assembled in USA.. and your lucky you got that 95% of all Oakley’s are made in China now this is common knowledge the fact that people don’t know this is astounding since it happened 10 years ago the 2.0 flacks and half jackets are made in USA and they both suck they no longer have the arm snap the old ones had so now there’s no way to even tell the difference from the fakes cause there made in the same factory.. I work at a place where our Oakley’s was bought for us, few years ago we dropped the contract with them because of this.. Oakley’s is a dam joke quit giving them your money

75th Teaster well I didn’t buy them actually, $250 + tax was a bit too steep for an impulse buy. Coming from Tom Ford sunglasses and Ray Bans I’ve learned not to spend hundreds on these types of items because they never last. What was cool though whether they are “made in China” or not was that the sales clerk took the lenses out and completely 180 twisted the frame of the sunglasses to demonstrate durability. I’m no expert of course, but I couldn’t do that with any other pair of sunglasses I’ve owned in my lifetime. Surely that still says something about their quality... as far as replicas go, AD’s are always the safest bet.
