If you are lucky enough to have Gloria give you a facial massage, you will smile and remember it fondly, even if it is 6 years later :)

Can an esthetician perform this style of massage after certification or is it only for LMTs?

Your passed relatives and spirit guides. The polenisian people believe in prayer, energy and spirit. Are you being disrespectful to people from other ethnic groups? Or just an atheist trying to belittle someone? Please be respectful towards other people's cultures and traditions.

I’d do the course if only they didn’t talk about that “life force energy”, ancestors, prayers etc..

I'm disappointed that both this therapist and Oakworks, which she represents, supports wearing jewelry on both hands. This is unsanitary as rings harbor pathogens. Additionally, this therapist continually touches her hair. It should be pinned back off her face. If I were paying for a massage and the therapist huffed on her hands just before touching me, I'd be off the table and demanding a refund. Please, if you are a licensed massage therapist, be more careful then this poor example. Our job is to keep our clients and ourselves safe and healthy.

While I do agree about not wearing jewelry, I think some of your other concerns are personal quirks of your own. This therapist is very highly established and it's clear those quirks are apart of her own style. Once this therapist started with me, I'd find it very difficult to get off of the table!

Yes, I had a good reflexology teacher Abby Connor. I did lomilomi in Australia and was taught the same, not to wear jewelry whilst working on a client.
