I wouldn’t try to break down oasis’s lyrics. They have admitted there best songs don’t mean fuck. That’s what makes them great..they can come up with a masterpiece that they have no idea as to the meaning😂
@rexoid08005 жыл бұрын
Exactly! The meaning is what you make it. If a song forces a meaning on you then its very one dimensional. Freddy Mercury said the same about music videos, if you listen to a song and have a feeling about it, then watch a video that forces some kind of meaning it ruins it. Like oasis they too had nonsence videos that don't really give a narrative.
@RedceLL19785 жыл бұрын
To be fair, there are more factors than that behind their writing. They just couldn't give a fuck about whether people get it or not. And they weren't gonna spell it out for you. Maybe it's ego or something else, but Oasis were elitists that way. If you were too dumb to They've always been capable of writing ambiguous, abstract and poetic lyrics. You'll find abstract passages splashed across all their albums in that style. Ironically, oasis's lyrics aren't that complicated. Try deciphering lyrics by Mars Volta. Theirs are almost all abstract.

One thing I like about this song and the band is that their lyrics are so clear...I have issues with picking up lyrics especially when they aren't clear but this song is mellow and can easily be sung to...I guess most folks would categorize them as alt-rock or even pop-rock (contradiction, yeah.) I mean if you're caught up with categorizing bands, those two would work.
