I tried it at 4 and 5 players (maybe better at five in my opinion) and this is exactly that: "come on give me more", cause the first place is important. The scoring is very different at the end (the gap) but it's so quick and so much fun with the closed offers... Thank's for this discovery!

Just picked up the game and we will be playing tonight. I can't wait. I love Knizia games and this reminds me of one with it being easy to learn but some depth of strategy. Thanks for the review.

That's a fair assessment. Knizia's style could be considered an "older" (I would say classic) style that a lot of long-time designers share. Dorra, Schacht, Colovini, Moon & Weissblum have done quite a few games in that simple-but-deep style. I hope you like the game! Oasis and other board gems don't have crazy-high ratings so you're going to get different opinions on them. Mine's positive, but that opinion's definitely not universal. Make sure players get into the giving part, and push each other to increase their gifts, for maximum fun and table talk. Cheers!

Thanks, I do like the game. I had it unopened for almost 10 years. I opened it 2 years ago and took it to the group, and I was really pleased. It is easy to play, nice components,... The mechanism to deal the cards was novel to me. The rules to play tiles are easier that it looks from the rulebook. It fits perfect as a game you can explain and enjoy playing from the first game.

Great video - glad I found your channel. Alas, I'm not a big fan of this game though ;)

We have different opinions?! And, AND, we spell our names differently?!?! There's an opening at Board Gems Inc. for the position of "nemesis", if you'd like to apply. :)

@@BoardGems Been meaning to plan a family trip up to the great white (western) north for some time now. I foresee a pizza and games stop in our future, once (if?) we're allowed to cross the border again!
