Id of love to seen the penoum system working that created the wave motion but the compressor had issuies at the time i filmed this so i left it alone as dint wanna cause damage to it

I love the place thay have done a good job resoring the domebusters steps up to the slids i give them that but the rest of the place needs a go over wish the counicl would fund them that bit more money to sort that place right out years ago that place was booming and had its little things about the place that dont seem to work any more

The reason why you guys got scared when you switched on the blower/fan for the wave machine, is because the motor used, is a star-delta type motor. Basically, when switched on, power goes through the 'Star Circuit' contact. This allows the motor to get moving from a stand still and is pre-programmed, time delayed circuit set to run for lets say 7 seconds for example. After that initial time the motor would have had a chance to gain some inertia and is then ready for the contacts to switch from Star-mode to Delta-mode allowing 3-phase power L1, L2, L3 to hit the motor, thus giving it a lot more torque, resulting in more speed/RPM. The screeching noise commonly heard on these setups is the drive belt that is connecting the motor to the blower fan, slipping as the motor switches from 'Star' to 'Delta' and the increased torque makes the belt slip a bit.

@Vincent and stuff Ah good explanation. Yes I have since seen those videos you are referring to. They use pneumatic pistons to operate the 'Butterfly valve'? I think its called? And it will open and close in a sequence to create a specific wave type, size etc. Didn't know that the room pressure should be no more than 2 PSI so thank you for for that.

Thay had boilers in the plant room and a desil genrstor outside to help in winter with cost as it cost £2500 per day to heat

I think the wave machine would have worked if you had let the compressor next to the window (10:50) run for a bit and built up some pressure. I think it's for the pneumatic valves. Very cool video and very eerie somehow.

@@KIRBZVIDS I totally agree bud, SBC do what they want and not what the people of Swindon want. We have enough housing estates in Swindon but they keep approving developers land to build on yet we have just the one NHS hospital full to the brim. We have several buildings looking like something out of Chernobyl...the first one being the Signal Point tower above the train station...it's all about first impressions. We already have a tower block with apartments in yet the council have approved two new tower blocks right next to it...pathetic. If I had a bottomless money pit I would make Commercial Road pedestrianised and that would be the Town Centre moving all the current units from Canal Walk/Regent Street and Bridge Street to Commercial Road. I would keep the Brunel Centre and integrate that in to Havelock Street so that that's the only main way in and out of the Brunel Centre. As for Canal Walk and Regent Street...Canal Walk would become a canal again and all the buildings would be pancaked and would be replaced with something similar to Queen's Park or the Town Gardens. All that would be left near Wharf Green would be all the coffee shops, eateries and pubs with an outdoor tv screen that actually fucking functions unlike that embarrassing shit there at the moment. Good pan or not...whad'ya think? Btw sorry for the essay lol.

Look at it this way: if a member of the campaign team walked past your house and saw the door was open, so thought they’d go in, have a look around and put graffiti on your walls would you think that was ‘okay’? I don’t believe so do you? Well, the same applies to the Oasis. So saying 'I didn't break a door or a window myself - I just went in through ones that were already broken into' is NOT a defense! You're still breaking in and it is STILL NOT OKAY!
