The stateroom was terrific. Right up there with all of the better cruise lines we've been on. The whole ship really is awesome.

We take an average of one cruise or more every year, and this was one of the best ships we've ever been on. Don't let the fact that there are 6,000+ passengers on board make you think it's crowded. There is so much space and so many things to do, that it never felt crowded at all. If you're into the ship itself (like we are), this is hard to beat. We felt it was worth every penny. Just a blast.

We were on for exactly one week (I think that all of this ship's cruises are a week long). We stopped in Labadee (Haiti), Falmouth (Jamaica) and Cozumel (Mexico). If you're into night life/music/dancing, they have plenty of that on board.

Awesome video!!! My wife and I have been on several big ships and a few were RC ships but none were like this! We were on RC's Adventure of the Seas when IT was the biggest cruise ship afloat but now that's small compaired to the Oasis. There is definitely a big mall on board with tons of Oasis clothing and souvenirs. I can't imagine they don't sell a model of the ship, but since I wasn't shopping for one, I can't be sure. I just Googled, and if you don't find one on the ship, there are several places that sell them online.

I hadn't heard about the Quantum. Looked it up and it sounds awesome! Wiki says it will be 1,142 ft long and 167,800 gross tons. Definitely huge, but Oasis is 1,186.5 ft and 225,282 gross tons. That's good for me, because I don't want to have to put an annotation on my video saying it's not the biggest any more! LOL Thanks for the heads up about Quantum. Will definitely have to add that to our cruise list. :)

+DM-Games Read that the tour is $150pp. I think I'll pass. The tours back when I first started cruising in 1990 were free. When 9/11 happened, they stopped the tours. When they resurrected them years later, they started charging for them.

It was not cheap.... about $150 each if I recall correctly. There are only about a dozen people allowed, and they only do it once per cruise, on the last day. Arrive at the ship as early as possible and go directly to the Activities Desk, and ask about availability. They do not advertise it, so you have to know to ask. And since it's so expensive, you really have to want it. :)

@redhat29 We called ahead, and they told us it could only be booked on board. We arrived at the ship as early as possible and walked straight over to the Guest Services counter to book it before it was sold out. It was limited to about a dozen people and only runs once a week on the morning of the last day. Oh... and we paid $150 each. Worth every penny, since the ship itself was the reason we chose this particular cruise.

It's been a couple of years now, so I don't remember the exact amount (and it may have gone up too). But if I recall correctly, I think it was somewhere around $125 - $150 each. A bit pricey, so you really have to be into it to go (we were, and obviously loved it). Money well spent for mechanical and technology geeks like us. lol

I noticed the second time I went with Oasis that I missed the very first time. My impressions / experiences are famförallt (?), great service, wonderful food and vessels which have never boring.
