All three brothers are funny. Not to play armchair psychologist, but I think their Irish sense-of-humor (as Noel calls it) helped them deal with the horrible reality of growing up with such a nightmare of a father. Abso-fucking-lutely. After watching her in Liam's documentary - and this - it's easy to understand how the boys turned out the way they did. To hell with the fact that they hate (love) each other. Peggy's such a solid, beautiful Irish woman, it seems only natural that her sons would go on to create such beautiful pieces of music that we remember to this day... powerful music, though simple almost to the point of being trite. But songs that uplift us and help us celebrate "living". In the Oasis story, Peggy is most certainly the unspoken (though celebrated) hero. She is love, as Noel once put it.

Liam said in a interview once that even when they made it massive, Peggy who had worked 3 jobs and daft hours all her life still carried on working for a bit until the doctor said stop.
