You should totally listen to the rest of their album! It’s great, and takes you through a journey. I think you’ll end up really liking Oasis.

Liam Gallagher’s voice is very unique you’re right. People say it’s a mix between John Lennon and John Lydon so you’re spot on!

One of the memes that entered the culture (or counterculture more precisely) in the '70s was that the band, Boston, was essentially a marketing gimmick by some fellows at MIT. The story was that these wiseacres studied what it was that people loved and wanted, and basically gave it to them. The result was some damn catchy music. But somehow the notion of it being manufactured by committee didn't sit well with a lot of people who moved on to more conceivably authentic sources. I never researched it so it may all be BS. It may have been a competitor's PR. At any rate, there was some truth to the corporatization of music, and a sort of appealing to the lowest common denominator, while aiming to receive the highest possible denomination of treasury note. Notes for notes. Anyway, this seems like that sort of thing. There is quite a lot of it. Jon Anderson tells a telling tale about when he and another band member went to see King Crimson perform their first album in London, and afterwards told whomever, "We're going to have to practice more." Later that year, he said the same thing after seeing and hearing Mahavishnu Orchestra. And we all know how wondrous is Jon Anderson. The question could then be: Who makes King Crimson and Mahavishnu Orchestra feel like they have to practice more? And then...who makes them feel that way...and on and all, all the way back to God, or the turtle named Mitch, where it is chins all the way down.

So many good songs await you, I’d do the first album (Live Forever, Cigs and Alcohol, Slide Away), then get a few B Sides under your belt (Acquiesce, Talk Tonight, Rockin Chair to name but 3 but there are loads as good and better than some singles) to ease you into What’s the Story Morning Glory! Enjoy

Oasis. I like this band. For some reason often compared to The Beatles. It's too bad the brothers didn't get along.🤔

They never got along with anyone, they're a pair of tossers.
