I'm a 40-something, hard-knocked bruiser, but with an emotional depth and sensitivity I've mostly hidden through my life, and the first time I watched this performance (after many years spent in prison) - the tears (of what you so eloquently and beautifully defined as "collectively wholesome") just flowed from my heart and soul, without warning, prejudice or suppression, and with that sense of unity which music, universally speaking, touches us in a spiritual moment of presence, was finally set free.. I still shed tears of love in their purest form. Thank you, @Bisscute - that was a privilege to share that moment with you. Bless your heart forever ♥️

Great reaction Biss. Love Oasis, have watched this live performance before and it's an amazing version, they also have some great live videos from Rock in Rio as well, but I was getting a bit emotional watching this as well. A couple of points, firstly the singer in this acoustic version of Don't Look Back In Anger is Noel Gallagher who isn't the lead singer in the band, his younger brother, Liam, usually is on lead vocals. Secondly, and I think what makes this performance special, is that Noel and Liam were very confident, brash, almost rude every time they were interviewed on camera in I guess a rock star kind of way, but you're right Noel here did look genuinely moved by the reaction of the crowd. This song, like Wonderwall, the other song you know from them, is from their second album, I think you should go back and check out some of their subs from their first album, Definitely Maybe, I'd suggest Live Forever, Supersonic, or Up In The Sky before moving into other songs from their later albums. Just to add the two brothers in the band, Noel and Liam feel out a lot eventually leading to the splitting up of the band. This often caused cancelled concerts when on tour, especially in the US. At present they have their own bands, Noel with his High Flying Birds and Liam with Beady Eye and currently on solo projects. Being an Oasis fan was a rollercoaster ride. You definitely need to check out more of their stuff, maybe some of their Knebworth love performances if you can.

I wrote on another recent reaction page that this is an absolute British anthem of the 1990s. Pretty much anyone who is over 30 and was born and raised in the UK will know this song, and it's one of those - like "Wonderwall" - that is guaranteed to get a bit of a singalong to the chorus in a crowd, especially after a few drinks! So great to see the international power of music, and as someone else said, Noel looks so moved to hear the crowd singing back to him. Your reaction to his response was also moving. It's well worth checking out more of their catalogue, especially from their earliest albums "Definitely Maybe", "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" (where this song came from) and "Be Here Now".
