My son's first bass was an Affinity just like that but we added the Duncan Design 70's pick up's and man did it sound good. I found the pick ups on Craigslist (not sure if that's in the UK) for $10. My son switched to guitar and I went back to bass and I now have a classic vibe 60's jazz with Fender Highway One pick ups and a Squire Affinity P Bass like i mentioned in my other comment.
