Oasis were massive in the '90s and continue to enjoy popularity today. They are FAR from one-hit wonders, they have a a lot of hits, combined with an outstanding back catalogue. The band centered around two brothers, Noel Gallagher, the primary songwriter, and his brother Liam Gallagher, the lead singer. This was held at Knebworth in 1996, over 2.5 million people applied for tickets. I highly recommend checking out the performance of "Slide Away" from the same show.

@@Trey_Alexander I think you've got rose colored glasses or something. For those two songs, yes, they were big. After that they dropped way off. I listened to alternative radio at the time, those were the only two songs they ever played regularly. Even now the rock station I listen to only plays those two songs. There are interviews out there from band members lamenting never making it big in the US and having to cancel a bunch of shows. Only their first three albums had any real success in the US, but they peaked with their second album and fell off sharply after that. The charts don't lie, none of their 2000s albums even sold enough to be certified in the US.

They were the biggest band in the UK for years! They broke up and both Liam and Noel are now solo artists. There Beatle's covers are amazing as well. As of 2009, Oasis have sold over 75 million records worldwide. They are among the most successful acts on the UK Singles Chart and Albums Chart, with eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. The band also achieved three Platinum albums in the US. They won 17 NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six Brit Awards, including one in 2007 for Outstanding Contribution to Music and one for the "Best Album of the Last 30 Years" for (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. They were also nominated for two Grammy Awards. I hope this helps answers if they were ONE HIT WONDERS! I see a rabbit hole forming---time to jump in! Love your reactions!! Cheers!

On the subject of "one hit wonders" - I always find it funny that this is the song they are known for outside the UK. They had 8 number one singles in the UK and Wonderwall wasn't one of them (it peaked at #2). Its def worth grabbing, and checking out, if only for your collection. Some other titles worth looking at : Pulp - Common People, 4 Non blondes - What Up, The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony, Blur - Country House (A few big hits from the 90's just off the top of my head) 👍🏻Also, Peter Gabriel - Games without frontiers (An 80's hit, but seemed to get a revival in the 90's with a lot playing it).
