You can probably use bits from the Frostgrave kits to spice these guys up. I've heard that Oathmark and Frostgrave humans work well together.

Glad to see someone else had the exact same idea on the cavalry heads using the helmeted heads from the infantry with the crested helmet as a captain.

They look great. I love the Saxon vibe.

You're not going to want a rectangular shield on a horse, you're going to use a round, oval or 'kite' shaped shield. The top corners are going to make weapon use in the saddle awkward and the bottom corner nearest the horses neck is going to be a problem.

Nice stuff. I've still got a week before mine even arrive in the country! Good points about the reuse of parts. I was really disappointed when I first saw the sprue and all those repeated heads! I was hoping for variety like the Goblin Wolf Rider sprue, so I could mix and match with the infantry I've been waiting to assemble, but alas!

Yeah just seems like a missed opportunity.

I think they are really cool calvary type figures. Look forward to seeing them in paint. I'll be watching

Just to say I’ve watched a lot of your videos and they are very creative and insightful and as I buy a lot of the same stuff or will do they are very helpful. Lots of good ideas. Yes, bit annoying a lot of Duplicated pieces from infantry set but great horses and look good as Ice and fire style rangers...

You know, with the rangers, it might have worked better to put the quivers on the horse, on the saddle and add cloaks...would look very interesting there
@ScruffyCrow3 жыл бұрын
I like that idea, I don't have any cloaks but I might see if there are any that are printable.

A nice look at the box and you have managed to get 10 different figures. It does raise a question I always have though, which is why do we accept mono-pose metal figures but want our multi-pose plastics to have infinite combinations? lol. Just something I noticed when I started collecting historicals.
@ScruffyCrow3 жыл бұрын
I like a monopose unit, monopose plastic archers, spearmen etc are pretty cool but if you are going to make a kit with separate arms I think you should be able to make as many variations as possible. For instance the GW night goblin kit, all the guys can be kitted with a spear and shield but each spear arm had a slight variation.

Doesn't Gamesworkshop make rounded cavalry bases?
@ScruffyCrow3 жыл бұрын
Only ovals I believe now, Though they used to make bike bases but I think they would be too long. Warlord Games makes some 100x50 though.

@@ScruffyCrow I think that Reaper is planning on adding them. They had some for a bit with their plastic range but had some issues and might be reworking them

@@AzraelThanatos Reaper has cav bases on their store right now (search on "base" to find them - that site's become a real mess) but the images won't load so I can't say for sure if they're oval or rectangular.

@@richmcgee434 Their oval cavalry bases aren't the same size, they're a bit to long and wide...using the GW40K biker base sizes
