Thank you for saying that, initiation is not always the answer. People don't realize that. And I do not want to become an Orisha priestess. I let people assume what they want on my spiritual walks being an enigma, is beautiful. And I don't take outsiders advice, that I'm not permitted or ordained to listen to. For anything. Words are spells, and certain people spell crap. I was baptized in the ocean this year. It was amazing. I had an altar in my prayer closet for years and I was safe. There are people out there with bad intentions over your walk with spirit. My calling was self discovery, and to radiate light. I don't wish to belong to anyone or any establishment but God and the universe's calling over however I need to serve and be moved in the personal power of priesthood. I am here to bring healing, not start or have a following.

I think your right. Initiation isnt the way to "know thy self"... but at the same time , through initiation one is allowed to find yourself and then become a "priest" etc... Your god parents are the ones that are holding back the struggle and hardships in ones way as to facilitate the discovery of self. Religion isnt spirituality.. and spirituality will never lead to religion. It's all up to oneself... and for that;you are right, you must find yourself Frist!

the challenge is defining destiny... 99% of the people - even seasoned priests - cannot tell the difference between destiny and fate and even fewer and articulate it in an intelligible way. so, first we have to get clear about what we're talking about. when you say destiny, what do you mean?
