you know whats even better? in one of the later chapters(when u can get legault) theres a thief that spawns with the member card. across the entire map. who also runs away relatively quickly tbh literally every chapter past 20 is inhumane if you don't want to miss anything

@infamousknight6265 in my runs the only units who could reach him in time would orko the thief, so he'd keep running. there were some chests that it could steal from on the left but that's assuming legault doesn't steal from them first and then promptly fucking off

​@@manfroy0202The strat is to rush marcus and someone that can recruit legault (eliwood or hector) through the left door to cut off legault and the thief in the top lef corner of the map, recruit Legault, then steal the member card with him I haven't played this hack in so long though, so I'm skeptical if Legault even orkos the thief or is fast enough to steal

This has gotta be one of the harder chapters with a Thief requirement- you have to deathmarch right down the middle straight through the entire enemy marching at you If your cavs/thief aren't going max move every turn its entirely possible to miss BOTH crests and chests ;_; But you also need to bring your support units- most of the units that aren't directly on the path to the chests dont actually move to attack you (like the shaman guarding the first chests that should be ignored until later), so Rebecca and Lowen can march directly forward with Marcus while Sain and Kent can be applied wherever necessary and can be used to bodyblock. I also bring Florina on this chapter- there's a lot of bows sure but she can freely move around to adapt to the different reinforcements that show up from the first and final hallways, and the nature of the final turn before Raven means she can be used to great effect in that one pivotal turn. If your thief is falling behind he can be rescue dropped from that pre-raven corner to great effect. The first thief is going to get to one of the chests, but keep in mind it takes him 3 turns to actualy steal an item- dealing with him is no problem, stopping the second thief is the actual goal, and he has a 2 turn limit. you can even bait the thief with the crest to attack an unarmed or weak unit like Matthew to prevent him from running- you just need to be nearby, even if hes running away he can be convinced to turn around.

With this patch, this chapter is a *massive* pain in the ass, Obama understates it. I've been playing a (heavily) modified personal version of this patch (with two added playable characters, a whole bunch of added minibosses, music additions, and sprite changes for my own amusement). There's a pirate on the next chapter that can't attack you because he has the wrong weapon equipped (It's a Hector Hard Mode only bug), but uh, I'm just gonna say this much; Can't wait for the rage-inducing Dragon's Gate chapter. Have fun recruiting Legault!

@@Poopique With the way his team is shaping up, it might be mandatory to send Rebecca with a longbow into the room to the right of the start just to help clear the way in front of the door that leads to the top left part of the map. Even though I don't play with cavaliers/paladins (it actually helps keep my team closer together, plus it lets me play with an extra mage and Bartre), I don't think it'll matter as much on the Dragon's Gate chapter because of all the choke points and doors. Biden's still going to have a hard time rushing to get Legault, and then he'll have to worry about getting him out alive. He'll intercept Legault at the top left corner of the map, right in the middle of a lot of enemies. Oh yeah and Merlinus will get flanked by a bunch of shit. Both on the Dragon's Gate chapter and the one in this video.

@@Poopique That being said... getting the Kishuna chapter shouldn't be that difficult -- and Aion's chapter felt way easier than it did in base HHM with the team Biden's rolling with. I actually don't think that team (assuming a few additions that I'm pseudo-expecting) will have nearly as many problems with the Vaida chapter that I did. That being said ... it would be fun to see Biden try and have a run at visiting the shops there! At time of writing, I'm on this chapter, but I also hope this play through gets the Jerme chapter. No reason. None at all. 😅
