The food stamp difference means people can almost survive on it, whereas before they would starve. Originally, they wanted the amount to be what a person could live off of in an emergency. It was not an amount meant to provide healthy food for a long time. They didn't want unemployed people having it too good, but the problem is the disabled, and elderly either starved, and/or would be malnourished with such low benefits. Even worse was during the bush years when many got the minimum amount of $10 per month, and starved, because republicans wanted the most vulnerable to sacrifice so war profiteers could get wealthy in a war in Iraq that they had no business starting. republicans are responsible for a lot of evil, and suffering.

I can tell you from listening to voters that there were plenty-plenty who we had not seen at the polls in the previous seven years-who came to vote, and specifically said they were sick of the election Ads in PA. They were not happy voters. I have no idea who they voted for (duh), but I have absolute faith that they were protest votes of one kind or another-either not voting for Harris OR Trump or voting for Trump because they were sick of the Harris Ads. By the middle of the day it was already clear that the vibe in the room was not with Kamala. I read an article when Trump was running against Biden for the 2020 election in which an editor assigned a journalist the task of attending a Trump rally and asking the participants if they voted for Trump and if they still supported him. As the rally ended, the journalist stopped several women and asked them those two questions.
