Oppose them all! tRump did it. Turn about is fair play
@Jason-hg1pc15 минут бұрын
Turnabout today is more like airplay, one word. "Turnabout is fair play", as a colloquial phrase recognized when appropriate, usually implies a note of aggression or at least derision between two established entities, references increasing the value at risk during competitive gambling and became a common English term around the same time as "raise the stakes", the 1700's, although it was introduced in print as two words that were congealed, becoming one with itself when it was popular enough to reference competitive aggression beyond gambling. Here in the N/W corner of the most northern and west State of the lower 48, the annual shutdown and inspection/upgrade/repair/re-engineering of the faculties of the local oil refineries by a variety of labor and trade unions is named "turnaround", so (around here, anyhow) "turnabout is fair play" has evolved/digressed to "Turnaround is foreplay" which can be misquoted by the salary gallery, aka the "administration" to reference an actual orgy or gangbang, or the odds of an established task necessary for the refineries to be restarted going badly, since the job's expansion extends the period workers are paid top wages for their trades and the checkwriters/deskjockeys that suspect labor of doing something unnecessary that affects their profit period profess their suspicions using those references because they're generally scumbag inbred moneygrubbers to begin with, and they see paying others at Union scale as funds stolen from them.

I think we just have to accept that there are whole lotta’ racists, bigots, misogynists, and xenophobes in this country. My mom grew up under Peron. She became NYC Assistant Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and was in court all the time with Trump. After an especially litigious day, she told us kids it was not just his corruption which was so egregious but his cruelty. It’s just baffling that an adjudicated rapist fraudster 2x impeached 4x indicted 6x bankrupted 3x adulterer convicted felon insurrectionist who only ran to stay out of jail and has absolute distain for the poor and middle class, could become our President. I live with 2 MAGAts right now and I can tell you, it truly is a cult like mentality.

I believe it's past time to move beyond a two party system, the electoral college, and lifetime judge appointments. It's time we stop pretending the leaders of either party listen to anything we think or express. I believe the last 8 years should have forced us to accept realities of our country, and, if it is not too late, we need to take our heads out of the sand, and change up some stuff.
@mjouwbuis36 минут бұрын
A 20 to 30 party system such as we have here in The Netherlands isn't that great either. Maybe have 2 to 4 parties, but you guys should definitely get rid of the electoral college. It happens way too often that the electoral vote and the people's vote are different which goes against the general principle of democracy, if you ask me.

A failed attempt to appoint one sycophant among many isn't really a "backfire." It's more like a speed bump. It's not as though the optics of a failed AG appointment mean anything to anybody who isn't already knee deep in politics. There's no real downside for Trump attempting to appoint Gaetz. Most Americans will either never hear about it, not know why it's bad, or just not care.

The ONE thing no one is SAYING; our political parties used to be based upon two very important things- one supported labor, one supported business. Since the 1960’s, both parties have moved towards business, and stabbed labor in the back. Treating labor like mobsters, vilifying unions, to the point the buisiness world became “the good guys”. The bosses needed to be lifted up, because without them, we wouldn’t HAVE A JOB! Now both parties support business, and labor has become a shadow of a shell of a ghost of itself. The only way to remedy our nation’s issues is to rebuild labor. Restore unions. Give workers a seat at the table, instead of voting for which billionaire corporate shark throws more crumbs from the table we have to live beneath. Rebuild labor. If the two-party system does not embrace labor, create a LABOR PARTY. In England, the labor party created so many social reforms. Now, sadly, they’ve done the same thing as we have; labor is Turing to business for support over unions. And we see in real time how labor is turning its backs on british folks. The most recent slight, making pensioners pay far more for heating coast, just as WINTER SETS IN!! We need to rebuild labor. Have a labor party. With REAL power. Big union backing. Then there will be a balance in the force.

12:52 poll worker from Bucks County, PA here. I can tell you from listening to voters that there were plenty-plenty who we had not seen at the polls in the previous seven years-who came to vote, and specifically said they were sick of the election Ads in PA. They were not happy voters. I have no idea who they voted for (duh), but I have absolute faith that they were protest votes of one kind or another-either not voting for Harris OR Trump or voting for Trump because they were sick of the Harris Ads. By the middle of the day it was already clear that the vibe in the room was not with Kamala. I think we also need to give some credit to the Russian bots because they played us- They SEPARATED us and played us beautifully.

Trump's pick for Sec. of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, was on an advisory panel during DJT's 1st term. Did she have ANY INPUT into the replacement of NAFTA, Trump's negotiated Treaty with Mexico? Farmers and growers in southeast Florida might be interested to know since that treaty left them without protections from Mexican agricultural product imports, especially during wintertime when other areas are frozen or lack water for growers.

I haven’t lost faith in the Democrats, but I believe they urgently need to rethink how they connect with the people. The next four years will be challenging, but we’ve succeeded before. This time, we’re more prepared, and we’ll do it again. And while I don’t believe for a moment that the people of the United States would ever allow themselves to be subjugated, if it were to happen, I have no doubt that they would carry on the struggle.

He did fast track the Covid vaccine. His response as a whole was terrible but he got that part right at least on the end. There was also the bumbstock ban that he did in the wake of a big mass shooting, some considered that something good he did (then it was recently overturned by the Supreme Court so much for that).
@Dbb277-22 сағат бұрын
@@J0566. Anyone in the presidency would have fast tracked the Covid vaccine. The damage he did with the pandemic overall devalues any influence he had on the vaccine. The mRna vaccine itself had already been developed. And anyone that wants to chime in about gas prices you need to read up on the Russia-OPEC gas war of 2019. That and dropped demand during the beginning of the pandemic is why gas prices dropped. There’s no gas button in the Whitehouse.
