Some people argue that Obama is "safe" with his verbiage or "too political" sounding that suggests hes holding back or being dishonest. I would argue that he sounds "careful" to be able to get his general point across without offending the over sensitive. When you blurt stuff out and "simplify" it is open to interpretation which generally distracts from the actual message. Agree or disagree with him, he is far more intelligent than many of today's representatives.

Probable because being measured and thoughtfull in what one is saying has gotten so rare these days. Being bombastic and in your face gives airtime and guarantees your base of support will send you money and break there neck to vote for you. It buys votes.

Obama concerned more about India while China is peacefully torturing and exterminating Uighurs (and giving viruses to the world) and Pakistan and most other autocratic Islamic countries are persecuting and exterminating their minorities.. The hypocrisy is astounding.. And if its a paid opinion, he might have been paid pretty well. Who gave this hypocritic ex presidential filth (who bombed the lights out of many musim majority middle eastern countries) the nobel prize? I am sure thats part of a larger agenda as well which works to keep non-white developing countries submissive to Western nations.

I know you've heard this before in total disbelief that "black folks can't be racist ." Well to your dismay it's a fact , and a well documented fact . Case and point : Can you tell me precisely HOW HAVE BLACK RACISM ADVERSELY IMPACTED THE WHITE RACE AS A WHOLE , NOT AS INDIVIDUALS , BUT A WHOLE !!!!???? Ways white racism has adversely impacted the black race as a whole . 1) As disgusting as it may sound , hell we didn't get the right to vote until 1965 . 2) We face discrimination in HOUSING , HIRING , JUSTICE , MEDICINE , BORROWING , VOTING in terms of voter suppression and gerrymandering . etc . So you see real racism which is deeply rooted in the fabric of this country has concrete consequences . By the same token you called President Obama "A fully racist President" no doubt is totally abstract with not a single consequence. Then you said "As long as the Democrat party intends to maintain power, race and racism must remain at the forefront." Are you pretending that the republican party and the American white folks are exempted from this calamity !!!?? If this is your take , then this tells me that you're completely maligned with that other BIG LIE . But let me refute this blatant lie you're carrying around . Where's the diversity in the republican party !!!??? Did you realize that "55%" of white folks voted for John MaCain . and "59%" voted for MItt Romney !!!???? This was an overwhelming majority . The opposition against this black man becoming this country's first black President was thick you could have cut it with a knife . So who's really , really "fully racist" here !!!??

I could not help but listen to this and think ... "Well here is where all the common sense has gone" ... Over the past year My views have changed and my heart is broken. I have been far too distracted with some severe health issues to get into many political discussions and the like. But with certain friends sending me links and articles that go against how I think and feel today ... Is exhausted as I am just to survive each day ... I was starting to feel as though I need to start telling the truth about what I think and feel ... But then I listen to this and wouldn't it be a great idea to just send it to the people I disagree with-who don't know that I disagree with them ... And just ask them to listen to this, then try to defend their position or information but they believe to be true... I'm tired regardless of politics but I'm glad that Obama has come out to speak some common sense I just hope that he is wrong about the ability to knit opposing opinions together ... He is probably not, but I'm still going to keep my private faith on this . 🤗

Then one day it just clicks in their head that what you said was right. For me it’s spreading the good news that God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so that anyone who puts their trust in Jesus will not die but have eternal life in Heaven. Jesus is the only way. I may get a lot of pushback for my belief but one day, hopefully before they die, they will realize this truth and put their faith in Jesus. The devil has designed this world to distract everyone from the truth. There’s so much injustice in this world and putting your trust in the system that’s corrupt because it’s being run by corrupt people you’ll never find justice. But God will deliver true justice in the end. The question is, will you be on the right side when He delivers judgement?

I would add to that, the antiquated, unethical and biased systems that undermine the welfare of the vulnerable in our country also warrants revisioning. I’m disgusted with the way the vulnerable are not protected when there are systems involved that should be protecting them. The vulnerable are met with an incompetent checklist and a blatant disregard for their well-being when their safety and welfare is clearly endangered through the United States tolerance for deliberate abuse and neglect of children- the vulnerable. Since when did justice equate to someone’s opinion of another person rather than on facts ? Why are people’s value determined by their socioeconomic status? Why is justice only a reality for those who have the monetary/social advantage ?
@JoelMatas-oc4bl11 ай бұрын
Well, Democratic pillars allows those vulnerable sectors of society suffers. That is the real thing about democracy. Let the markets dictates how the people will interact in terms of their economic status. This is like, a modern version of Charles' Darwin's Survival of the Fittest" right! But there is a model that sincerely cares and protect those vulnerable sectors of society. In fact, China applied this kind of models in their government. I'm a huge Obama fan, mid 30s, in Tennessee, voted for him twice. I have never in my life met, seen, or known men in modern times that are "afraid of changing gender roles", that "don't like it when women speak out and fight to have the same rights and power as men." Yet I hear this so often from certain left groups you'd think it's as prevalent as racism was in the 50's. I fully believe it's out there, but it's nowhere near widespread and common outside the minds of people in a certain echochamber that believe they see it everywhere. I've yet to see direct proof that this is a modern day problem in the US that men don't see women as equals.

sometimes you don't recognize these types of men because you may not be around when they say things like that to the persons who challenge gender roles or the 'outspoken women' who are petitioning for equal treatment. many times these men will intentionally choose situations when no one else is around to say how they truly feel.

It is a duty to the individuals who aquire information to check their sources. Polarization based on bad information never solves anything. It was all kinds of senseless for him to say, “if I had a son he’d look like Trevon Martin” from the presidential podium if he really wanted justice for Trevon Martin.

As someone who voted for Obama in 08 and who believed that he could help bring races together, I've come to realize that I was misguided about the "change" he brought. Politics aside,he could encourage people of any color that they, just like Sen. Tim Scott and Ben Carson did could rise up no matter what is put in their path,that staying in the victimhood mindset stunts your growth and keeps you stuck in the muck rather than reaching your full opportunity and purpose. Instead,he sees people like them only as their skin color and how they should vote and believe like he does based on that skin color. Wonder what he thinks of someone like Vivek Ramaswamy. I've gone from believing that he,as president,was genuinely trying to bridge the racial differences throughout the times of violence between Blacks and law enforcement and was simply overwhelmed to now believing, sadly,that he may have intentionally made efforts to continue the divisions between races in our country. Takes a lot to realize and confront your mistakes. I was wrong about Obama and am sorry for supporting him.

In all fairness, and I don't dispute the point that Barack is making. But the submariners story probably made bigger news due to the race againts time aspect of it. Not too dissimilar to the Thai boys trapped in the cave situation which made huge news.

Okay point taken … but think about it this way . 700 people died trying to have a better life vs 5 who went diving on a joy ride to the pass.. i think he was speaking in the equity of the moment and value of citizens.. what was spent in dive could have feed emigrants for years .. i think the inequality and cover value system thats missing

@davidryan7261 Beloved, you further prove his point about selective importance. Was it not also a matter of time when these over 700 souls went down in what was basically an abandoned ship. If immediate help had been extended would not the missing number be smaller or if at all? This is exactly his point that ideas of democracy such as your own is eroding daily. What if my family were on that ship? What if yours? Peace.
@davidryan726111 ай бұрын
@@patricepaines2167 Absolutely agree. My point was merely people tend to rally, show huge interest, and go to great extents to save what can be saved. Be it men trapped in a mine, baby stuck in a well or pod of whales stuck on a beach. I'd like to think that under similar circumstances those 700 souls would have been afforded the same coverage and same effort.
