Can someone please get word to Mrs. Harris to please don't give the hand salute. She should read the Hand Salute Protocol. The hand salute is for uniformed personnel only. It is arbitrary for civilian dressed presidents, though I personally, as a Member of the VFW, do not appreciate that. Ex military and police in civilian attire use it as a show of respect.
