I am a son of Obatala, and after my head was read, it made so much sense. In order to understand peace, we have to understand WAR, and we have to study it OFTEN.

This is my second watch of this video and it makes me smile. I recall the day when I had my head marked. I wasn’t smiling. I was so upset. I’m embarrassed now when I think about it. I sat and within five minutes, I’m told I’m a child of Obatala and all the babalos started singing while I’m crying. 🤦🏽♀️. I thought I’d be a child of Yemaya. Shoot, any other orisha but Obatala. After a few weeks I accepted it and decided to move on. What clicked for me about your description of Obatala’s children is that we dream a lot. I’m a dreamer, always have been and I’ve always felt it was a flaw. I don’t want to know, I just would like to go to bed and get some sleep without the constant dreams. So being a dreamer it was only fitting that about a month or two after having my head marked, I had a dream about this man that I was speaking to. This man was running late to get a reading. I was telling him to hurry up. As the man was walking away from me, he turned around and said, “oh, by the way, Obatala wasn’t pleased about how you reacted when you had your head marked.” I woke up dying of laughter. I said Maferefun Obatala. I thanked him for choosing me and I wore white for eight days. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Today, o cannot see myself as the child of any other Orisha. Everting about me is very representative of who he is and what he represents down to my impatience and short temper that I work on daily. When I sit before Orula, he tells me that I’m like a cranky old person. 🤣🤣🤣. Now when people mistake me for the child of another Orisga, I proudly correct them and let them know I’m Obatala’s child. Thank you for this video and the stories.

Speaking of Obatala... I missed this live due to having to do work that involves the mind... college discussion boards and assignments. 😂😂😂With the studies I do, interest in neurology and psychology, as well as being a certified teacher and love learning as much as I can in various subjects, I always felt I was going to be a child of Obatala. I got was Eleggua instead. 😵🤣🤣🤣I was told the orishas pick you, but why such a wild orisha... my mom tells me it is because of my connection and passion in working with animals and kids, plus they show the same level of energy of excitement towards me. Anyways wonderful podcast on Obatala. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 ASE!

Iboru iboya Baba . Thank you for all the wisdom and knowledge you share each week as I always look forward to every episode! Maferefun OBATALA. This is my 2nd time watching this episode. As I reflect on how OBATALA has guided and blessed me through my Orisha journey. I was recently gifted all of my soperas from a priest of OBATALA after I attended and helped out with his Ocha Tambor. He is wonderful friend and teacher. This past weekend on January 1st I attended a Tambor for Odudua and OBATALA came down and took me to the thrown and gave me some very important information about making my Santo. He also gave me derecho ( MONEY) to put in my sopera of OBATALA for the tools I need for Making My OSHUN… I am truly blessed and grateful for OBATALA. Ase 🕊🌻

Really interesting watch… my Husband who is Nigerian still living in Nigeria just found out a couple months ago through being sick and not knowing with what.. many other challenges, many doctors and divination’s later he found out he is a child of Obatala and just newly initiated.. I have not got to mine yet but he calls me his water Goddess from day 1 of our marriage and protector.. 🥰🧜🏾♀️ i used to think he was using words of endearment to whooo me but learning his family lineages and interacts with Ifa and Orishas (very heavy) and then learning about mine though my mom.. I do believe I could be the daughter of Yemaya or Oshun.. I saw it for us a while back but 🤔 this is very interesting conversations here! We thank the God and spirit guides for this 🙏🏾❣️😌
