Ein Traum ! Reitkunst in Vollendung ! Traurig was die SRS heute abliefert !

Interesting. This horse, so relaxed and confident, never once swishes his tail (not even in piaffe or passage) during this whole performance. I suggest you compare this video to others, watching the tail.

Sallie Skakel do you know that if you, I mean YOU keep a certain position in your body during YEARS, (for example, like you see everyday on the streets, people with a hunched back:) and you try to change this position into a straight back, it hurts extremely! So you have to come back to the hunched curved back to avoid the pain. Well... it is the same with a horse. You should see how the young horses at this Spanische Schule are ridden at the beginning and how they suffer because of the totally wrong riding. After years, they have adapted their back and body and it does not hurt anymore.

I am wondering whether your point of view is formed by the Natural Horsemanship school of horse training. If not, what is your background, how did you develop your point of view?

Sallie Skakel just riding all kind of stiff horses with sour back like this Lippizaner in the video, and feeling how they become flexible and souple muscles. Canter must have only 3 steps and not 4 like the one in the video. A 4-steps canter is the proof of a terribly sour back,
@sallieskakel22516 жыл бұрын
Odd. Re-watched it. At the canter, the diagonal feet hit the ground precisely at the same time. (Having watched Western Pleasure horses, I KNOW what 4-beating looks like.) And no tension: The tail was utterly relaxed, and in general, the horse floated softly (and happily: no pinned ears). The gaits were rhythmic (with no weird toe-flicking as in modern dressage). Sour back? Do you mean "tense back"? I don't see it.

You are entirely correct Sallie. This is a lovely horse ( who at 26 years of age has a body that is protected by years of good training) and here is performing with his rider who seems to be his friend. An amazing partnership. I enjoy coming back to this video every time I get frustrated with the harshness of so much modern riding.

Dommage de présenter des chevaux de 26 ans !
@sallieskakel22516 жыл бұрын
@lorvoir5 жыл бұрын
