Oberheim Xpander pure, dry and raw

The Xpander is the last synth from Tom Oberheim with VCO before the company was sold to Gibson. It as the 6 voice version without keyboard from the Matrix 12, but it has more connectivity with serveral cv gate outs and 6 audio outs for each voice in multimode. In this video I made a demo in single mode without any effects.

Thanks for sharing. Not many videos on this synth. Do you know if its possible to turn a patch into mono like if I wantef to program a bass or lead? Can’t find it in manual

The real power in the Xpander is the modulation matrix and 15 filter types. It's an experimental machine, the last thing id olay on it would be piano sounds lol.

This artist from 1978 FEDERIC MERCIER - SPIRIT " this song is insane the Oberheims he incorporated in this song Instrumental called SPiRiT from 1978 wholly smokes talk about raw talent when it came to playing all the instruments and the main focus was the Synthesizers check it out on KZbin it's outta this world and back to earth 🌎🌍 simply amazing.You definitely play very well awsome combination of really incredible sounds
