Great doctor! I really like his human approach. On TV he plays a "bad guy" role but he's actually very good. He then says something very important, which the philosopher Krishnamurti also often said, namely that before seeking the solution to a problem, you have to see it. I liked this very much BUT I have to say that discipline and knowledge is the key. Every day I struggle with what I eat. I have been struggling since I was 11 years old. It is not easy. I gained a lot of weight in my teens and twenties and that period of time for me was a nightmare. I was bullied and ignored and taken advantage of. But it makes sense that fast food is bad. It is just common sense. And any food eaten in excess is bad. I too suffer with depression. I too had a lousy childhood. I too struggle with alcohol addiction too. But if you want to do it, you can. I am now 67 years old and a bikini competitor. If you want to do it, you can. But it takes work and it takes knowledge. Thank you Dr Now for your compassion. Rant over.

Im 5'2 and I was about 215 and it's so hard for me too. I ate like shit, I'm depressed and I have social anxiety and a sweating disorder that keep me shut in and generally more sedentary if I dont work at it. Im completely cutting out junk food soon and deleted my food ordering apps. Gyms still make me uncomfortable but Im talking walks in the area of my neighborhood that has lots of hills and biking more places. Im under 200 for the first time in years doing only a fourth of the work I could be doing, so Im gonna step it up. You can do it!

it's basic plan, High protein, no or low carbs, no grains/rice, no junk food (including fast food), no sugary drinks etc.. no fruit (because of the sugar content), more veggies. hell might as well become a vegetarian or vegan.
